I am very happy to announce that I’m officially Dr. Amores! 🎉 I successfully defended my PhD and I am proud to say that I am the first person in my entire family to do so. Neither my grandparents or parents went to college. Orgullosa de ser la primera Amores Fernandez doctorada.

@HomoPictor @souljazzbossa @likethemagician @puchicadanny @jcookanthro @warghetti Nop, neither in Catalan. I’m fascinated by this thread as my research is in olfaction. I’ve smelled this before but didn’t have a word for it in Spanish, Catalan or English. It’s an awful smell, I had no idea where this was coming from 🤯

@tmasson @vortuosity Same! I am a huge fan of his work. I have always been inspired by his vibration theory and how that could potentially be applied to digitize scent. I was introduced to him back in 2018 through emails and some ideas I had about using optogenetics for olfactory hallucinations :)
