I was 10 years old when I reverse engineered my first computer system. It started with my elementary school loaning me a computer to make them a website - and ended with the IT team questioning me about how I got admin access to the district’s file server 😅 Something in my brain clicked at this moment - systems are learnable, malleable, and imperfect. This compulsive need to figure out how things work never went away, and I’ve been fascinated with reverse engineering things ever since. 10-year-old Jimmy would be so pumped for today’s announcement: I’ve raised $3.2m for my new company, Rubie! Naturally, reverse engineering is a big part of our product - I want to take a moment to tell you about why what we’re building is special, and why you should join us if you’re an engineer in NYC. One thing I've really enjoyed lately - I dumped all of my medical records into a ChatGPT project with some custom instructions and I ask it questions like: "Based on my medical history and what you know about me, what are the most impactful things I can change about my habits"

Started a new anniversary tradition where we record ourselves answering questions about our year, our growth, and our predictions for the future.🔮 (details below) Goal is to capture a moment in time and see how we evolve every year.
