It is the UK, 2023. Someone non-violently protesting & using non-compliance as part of that non-violent protest is met with police violence & infliction of extreme pain. I am absolutely terrified & if you are not then you need to wake up. I really, really hope this man is ok.

Yep. 100%. Been part of too many "can't survive, burning out" conversations lately with so many brilliant artists and producers. Indy is NOT being supported properly and it's impacting people's mental health. Fact.
Seriously. The indie theatre sector is tough at the moment. Basically impossible to make things happen. 20 years in the bus and this is the hardest it’s ever been.

The theatre industry is RIDDLED with sexual misconduct, abuse of power, casual transphobia, homophobia and misogyny. it’s a hero worship based industry. And with godlike figures comes the insidious bending of rules, creeping boundaries and hush hush to protect. Rank as usual
