love ya jakey but if you wanna enjoy the game you can’t wander across the empty planets expecting content
look for the … icon on planets, that means there’s a unique location with quests and named NPCs
compared to skyrim, your ship is your horse and these places are caves 🫡

Ubi's earnings call got me thinking... would you play an "Assassin's Creed Online" ?
Remove all of the MTX grind from the single player part and create a dedicated online mode for all of that. Basically GTA Online or Red Dead Online, but with Assassins 🤔

Something about Origins is absolutely mystifyingly magical. I just hop in and my jaw drops.
Maybe it's Bayek, the setting, how it feels like AC, I can't put my finger on it. But it scratches an itch that neither Valhalla nor Odyssey does for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After 30 hours, I rolled credits on Origins for the first time (yep) and I absolutely adore this game.
For many reasons, but they boil down to this game's approach to the newer formula. This is a different version of AC that I genuinely feel works very well. Like Black Flag does

This is a really fun video game to the point that it deserves more respect. Despite the rope launcher/parkour, tone, etc. These aren't my preference BUT they certainly don't earn this the OMG WORST AC GAME/spinoff reputation

This was really disappointing to read. Leaving harassers in management positions is absurd and it undermines efforts like the sisterhood tattoo. It’s great that devs support this, but management must too.
Accountability need to come from top to bottom. Ubi must do better
As legal proceedings are kickstarted, internal sources point at the lack of accountability since reports of toxic culture emerged at Ubisoft last year

i don't think i have goopy goblin gamer brain BUT there's so much dialogue, so many long cutscenes, so much travel time. i don't think eivor or her story are bad, but it moves at such a leisurely pace... it lost me

This is an essential thread. It can't be understated that expectations didn't meet realities. RDR2 is a great contemporary example, but people forget or don't even know about AC3's homestead. It was flawed, but had solid ideas that sadly never returned to the series.
