A trend I see during high school playoffs & it needs to change. Smaller schools benches are very supportive & bigger schools are not. Small schools give high 5 every time they come out,big schools some don’t even get up. No time to pout, change the culture. It helps, I promise!

This is what’s wrong with social media, which has influenced the game dramatically. Dunking over a guy that was playing hard & trying to block a shot, not backing down is then posted everywhere. Then you add the most important aspect of this game, THEY LOST! Stare at...Down 1-0!

Social media problem. Saying basketball is art & promoting a play where he got called for a charge & should of been a technical foul also. That’s what I call a -2 play, charge and turnover, and should of been a -3, with a technical. kuddos to kid stepping in, that’s +2 for him.

AAU gets a lot of negative talk, but I saw several coaches during high school playoffs and we good convos. chatting about health , life and how our players are doing. it’s cool to have those convos, put aside wins or loses, and if not for AAU I wouldn’t know a lot of good dudes.

I see a lot u should play man2man only for youth basketball ,which agree, it’s needed. However, I’ve seen a lot of zone being played in HS playoffs , and I see several teams that can’t score against it or know how to move without ball against zone. Zone is part of game, learn it!

There are A LOT of negatives thrown out about AAU basketball (some valid),BUT through AAU ball their have been some unbelievable relationships that have been developed & these kids will have those relationships that will go way beyond the court. Proud of my son & all my players!
