Seeing this movie again last night made me realize “Holy shot MJ’s life is way more fucked than I remember” her parents are always fighting, her father is verbally abusive, her boyfriend is an asshole, she gets stuck working a shit job right out of high school because…
“The great thing about MJ” scene is one of my all time favorite scenes ever. It feels so real and natural. You can tell that’s the absolute nicest thing anyone’s ever said to her and it was perfect. Sam Raimi is a master. So glad I got to experience Spider-Man (2002) in theaters.

One of the main reasons Batman even exists is so Bruce can make sure no kid will ever have to go through what he did. Bruce has always and will always support the people he protects and I’m glad we finally got to actually see that in a live action movie

I interpret this scene as Bruce coming up with a weak excuse for why he doesn’t want to date when in actuality it’s something deeper within himself. Also, given how frequently the villains team up in this show, her getting hurt is still a possibility

The warehouse scene is meant to serve an entirely different purpose. This scene is meant to show how Bruce’s arrogance lead to his downfall. “Victory has defeated you”- Bane. The warehouse scene is meant to just be something cool while he saves somebody, without a deeper meaning

First Thor movie actually felt like how Thor should be. By the end of the movie, he’s more stoic, honorable, and still a bit arrogant but you can see him mellow out in the later movies like Avengers 1 and AoU. Current Thor doesn’t feel the same to me

Absolutely. The entire fight is like a cat and mouse chase. Bullseye is trying to get away so he can throw stuff but Matt is trying to get in close so he can fight Dex hand to hand. There’s actual thought behind the choreography here

The Iron Giant goes a long way in not only making you understand THAT movie, but also understanding Superman surprisingly. The Iron Giant looks to Superman for inspiration and as a role model, and acts as such. He wants to help people in the same way. I highly recommend it
