Healthcare continues to embrace behavioral science. Continuing education can help get the ideas into practice. Thanks to @BrianSMcGowan and Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions @alliance4cehp for this discussion.
Our CEO, @jason_riis, was recently invited onto the Legends Interview series for @alliance4cehp's podcast. Dr. Riis discussed our overconfident misperceptions and complacent inactions framework with host @BrianSMcGowan of @Archemedx. Check it out!

If there is one thing nutrition experts agree on, it's that most of us would do well to eat more fruits and veggies. Thanks to @UnitedFresh for letting me riff on ways to do this. PBH @Fruits_Veggies is committed to this work and I am excited to continue working with them.
This week is the @UnitedFresh Virtual Convention! Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, President + CEO of PBH, + @jason_riis will discuss behavioral sciences topics like KNOW-FEEL-DO + more during a live Zoom workshop on 6/17 @ 11 AM EST. Register here: #haveaplant

Looks delicious! Flavor works!
@Fruits_Veggies @jason_riis I don’t have to force my parents to eat veggies and fish everytime I broil the fish marinated in apple cider vinegar and whip up some sweet and sour sauce with half cooked Italian peppers, celery and onions.

Curious to see what kinds of Fruits & Veggies #habits people will try in 2020. I have suggestions in the blog. GOOD HABITS, BAD HABITS by @ProfWendyWood provides key guidance: Habit is not what the action is.” Rather, the habit is “how you perform an action”.
Rather than setting goals for New Year's, let's aim to set new habits! PBH Chief Behavioral Scientist @jason_riis believes it's better to create healthier habits, as they become automatic and are easier to attain. Give his new article a read: #haveaplant

I am excited to be doing this behavioral science series with PBH. The focus is on identifying ways to make fruit and veggie consumption easier and more enjoyable. Ideas welcome!
Behavior change is HARD, and so is sticking to resolutions. We hear ya! @jason_riis, PBH Chief Behavioral Scientist, is here to make it a little less hard, w/ a focus, of course, on boosting #fruit + #veggie intake. Check out his article: #haveaplant 🍓🥦

Critical thinking is hard. I hope we can keep identifying and developing tactics to make it easier to talk about nutrition realities in clinics and in media. Thanks to @TodaysDietitian for helping us investigate the challenge. More to come at

Nice take for experts: Yes, your clients should be humble in reflecting on their limited knowledge. But so too should you.
Below: A fair appeal to amateurs to give some deference to real experts. But we also need another cup: please don’t confuse your degree with an occult gift to see into the future

A simple way to draw attention to uncertainty. Very clever. Very useful. #ThinkingAndEating
Instead of asking, “Are you sure? Try asking, “How sure are you?” “Are you sure” is a yes or no question. It demands unreasonable certainty. “How sure are you?” allows for shades of gray. It says uncertainty is okay. How often in a day do you casually ask, “You sure?”

@andre_quentin Thanks, that's a good one! It relates to other Fernbach and colleagues work on asking for mechanistic explanations.
