As a coach, that’s precisely where we should be with our athletes, finding what works for them.

@MTSchreiber7 @jamiemunro3 Ex: The fundamental skill of a ground ball, versus the applying that skill in a contested situation in traffic with your head down. You would want to get enough of the base motor skill in place before jumping into the contested situation where outlets and escapes are priority.

@MTSchreiber7 @jamiemunro3 I dont think he was trying to establish a definitive approach to any specific movement skill development, particularly to injury or risk prevention, but more of a broad application of what is happening in the brain. He does mention the difference between hard and soft skills.
