@andy_denenberg @THEREALJEW613 Why would they need to go through conversion? The idea from what I understood is that the mothers mother is Jewish.

@JBoatwater @ttayehh24 @unusual_whales As of recent they are actually worth about as much as the buy out price give or take. That being said OpenAI is worth >200b.

@Angaisb_ @sama They don’t have GPT 5. He mentioned that he has something like a 4.5 internally

@pranavkrn @dkeramidas @AravSrinivas Still not the same. Perplexity does not use the same model end to end.

@trisimo02 @nrehiew_ Well said. Its all the more intriguing to see how Anthropic will implement their reasoning models, given that their base model Sonnet by far out performs any other base model.

@tttttttttf_ @GoldMagikarp42 @AndrewCurran_ Be the company that actually is on the frontier of research instead of purely products? Post research -> get better talent -> get other companies and developers to improve upon your research -> make use of it -> repeat

@HannesThurnherr @Teknium1 @iScienceLuvr So what I’m saying is, right now, yes. These things are still important (features etc. are important factors). In the future, I see all of the labs offer similar functionality and will all sort of converge. At that point there is not much difference, except the price.

@HannesThurnherr @Teknium1 @iScienceLuvr Labs charge high to fund R&D, but over time it will mostly be about compute cost + small profit. Once models converge on a baseline that suits 99% of businesses, anything more won’t justify the cost. At that point, it’s like oil prices. Building Infrastructure is important.

@HannesThurnherr @Teknium1 @iScienceLuvr All I am saying is that for businesses who are exposed to them, there is little reason not to to switch over.

@HannesThurnherr @Teknium1 @iScienceLuvr I never claimed Deepseek would crush the rest of the labs in market share. I agree, that would be quite interesting to see unless they release some magic that would crush the rest by a healthy margin and start some sort of a massive PR campaign which I don‘t see happening.

@HannesThurnherr @Teknium1 @iScienceLuvr Thats beside the point. We are dealing with the now, and not with the o9 pro max that Sam is hyping up. Reality is, none of the labs have AGI. The current landscape shows us how practically all frontier labs are not far apart from each other.
