Fortunate enough to meet 96 years old Brigadier SR Bagga. He was the OC of 9 Field Company during the 1962 War. He and his men re-established the Chushul Airfield and did all the sapper duties in Chushul including making bunkers and laying mines.

Very few know the story behind this Vir Chakra, it belongs to Captain HC Gujral of 5 JAT. In 1962, at the age of 21, he rescued his men at an altitude of 16,000 feet in DBO by breaking the enemy cordon thrice. He was killed in the 1965 War.
