Gotta love how President Nelson just wiped out all political posts on my Facebook and Instagram and helped replace them with positive, grateful posts. That’s impactful leadership that we need in today’s world 🙏🏻
One of the biggest disgraces of the
@NBA
is the fact that Jerry Sloan coached the Jazz for 23 years, went to the NBA finals twice, won 60% of the games he coached, along with many other accolades, and never was voted Coach of the Year.
Imagine having names on the back of your jersey to fight racism and injustice, then you do this.
@NBA
should handle this like any other racist saying or act. Say “no” to racism means “Say no!”
This is how it works. We all make mistakes. We need to own them, ask for forgiveness, improve for next time, and move on. Love it. Great message for Sunday 😀
I am amazed how some BYU fans have brought former staff, coaches, and players into negative discussions after Saturday night's win. Celebrate the win and respect what the past players/coaches have done! No need to bash on others in doing so. Be grateful in all areas!
@andyblarsen
Hey Andy, why does this matter? This isn’t an all or nothing matter. They can agree on some things and disagree on others. There is nothing wrong with that. I’d recommend writing a story to describe why we need more people coming together, like them, even when they disagree
I hope that people soak in what Coach Rose has done at BYU. There are few programs, in any sport, that have the consistency of winning like Coach. He expects much of his players and coaches. One of the greats! Keep going coach!
#justwin
Thanks for the love and support from everyone! I look forward to Nick getting back to himself. As an older brother, I am with him every step of the way. Good luck to
@BYUbasketball
this year! He will be working hard to get ready for next year! 🤙
Let me clear something for the ignorant posts out there. BYU NIL money is not tithing money. This needs to be made loud and clear. I’m amazed at the negative messaging around this because of the incoming recruits. 😵💫
Tyler Allgeier - YouTube missed him, recruiters missed him, schools missed him, the “stars” weren’t assigned to his name, etc. love the story and the inspiration he gives all players.
I wonder if news outlets are going to report DAILY numbers from smoking, domestic violence, gang violence, and more like they do for COVID every single day. If they do it for COVID to "make a change", then why not do it for those areas that have been ruining lives for years?
Sad to hear some
@sltrib
writers lost their jobs today. But for those that printed stories about my teammates and family without having the right context & info, good riddance. We live in a world, at times, where clicks and impressions matter more than truth and integrity
#karma
I loved walking into sacrament seeing a full chapel. I saw suits, ties, dresses, t-shirts, etc. it didn’t matter what everyone wore or who they are. It was just great to see everyone there celebrating Easter together. What a powerful moment to reflect on Christ’s love for all
We welcomed our fourth boy on Friday. More than ever we need good fathers in this world and I am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to raise these boys to men. 🙏🏻
Imagine if the world came together to fight smoking, drugs, gang violence, children trafficking, and other major items that destroy millions of lives like they have for this virus? 🤯
WATER LEVELS PEAK🌊 Nearly every Utah reservoir is between 90% and 100% in water level, with 16 overflowing.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to baptize my second oldest. I am grateful for priesthood power and how it blesses my family. What a blessing to have God’s power in today’s world. Happy Sunday!
Drew Brees isn’t racist. Stop!!! Disagree with him for disagreeing with a method. Be angry at that, if you please. But to label him a racist is not fair nor accurate. And to wish him ill will is ridiculous.
I can respect those Ute players that came back this year for their teammates, coaches, and program. They put their personal agendas aside and shot for something big. As a former player and current fan, that’s respect worthy. 🙌🏻
When I was in third grade I was at recess and my friends started teasing another boy. This other boy was a minority and had a different faith. I stood there and just watched it happen. Shortly after returning from recess I was called to the library. As I entered the library I saw
Best of luck to Eli. But makes me grateful to see
@jimmerfredette
stuck around for his Senior year. We had a special year. Those memories are priceless.
If you don’t think he cared these last few seasons, then you really didn’t pay attention while you watched. His passion and drive is what I admired most about him. He taught me to believe when very few outside of our locker room believed.
Utah has a squad. I vastly underestimated their team this year with how many transfers they had. With how young their team is, they are only going to get better. To win a rivalry game with youth against a much more experienced BYU team is impressive.
I support and sustain our church leaders. I am grateful for all their service and dedication. These men and women work tirelessly to help others even at times through their own human faults and challenges they too are working on. 🙏🏻
Proud to have shared

with my lil bro. He bled blue through thick and thin. Even as an older brother, I learned so much from him throughout the years. I am excited for his next phase of life.
The day has come that I hang up the

Emery jersey.
Basketball has taught me more about life than I could have ever imagined. Playing for a university like BYU and playing with some of the best guys has been an…
Got this back from
@BYUMBB
today. Second time I’ve held it since I won it. This is a culmination of a lot of things including great teammates, coaches, trainers, hard work, and preparation. Grateful for it being a physical reminder.
My wife has been gone this weekend and I have had my 4 boys. Each time I go through this, my respect grows for single parents who do it every day. What a heavy lift they have and their kids should appreciate all they do. 🙌🏻
I feel bad for any college player who has their personal lives put in the media. People don’t understand how difficult it is and how it affects these players on an emotional level.
Sometimes we don't enjoy the moments when your sports teams are doing well.
@BYUwvolleyball
being

in the ENTIRE country, is pretty amazing. I hope that BYU fans are appreciating the accomplishments of these girls and what they are doing on a national level. Great job!
I remember my signing day: No shirts, no flags, no hats, no balloons, and certainly, no party. I signed the letter in my Principal's office and then had the secretary fax it. The focus then turned into becoming the best college player that I could be.
If you’re focusing on the fans and who shows up to your game, then your focus is on the WRONG thing. This whole week has been noise. Go get the win and don’t worry about anything outside the locker room.
Lessons: 1. Do something. Doing nothing can be just as detrimental; 2. We are all equal and bullying has no place in this world; 3. As a parent, don’t wait to teach these lessons. I don’t know how she found out, but she wasted no time to teach me; I am grateful for my Mom
Rare photos of Kawhi in college showing a lot of emotion.
Taunting his rival Jimmer Fredette from BYU after blowing them out by 18 in the MWC championship.
The shot clock for high school basketball will significantly improve the quality of game and better prepare kids for the next level. I hope Utah basketball players how big this is.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is true. We are led by a prophet of God today. Our leaders, both male and female, are inspired of God. What great blessings in our lives!

Wow! I think the Jazz nailed it on that trade. Sexton, Markkanen, and Agbaji, plus 3 first-round picks? Go look at their depth. The Jazz are deeper than last year and should remain competitive with their younger core. MEANWHILE, they are building for the future. A+ stuff there
With much love and for the sake of moving forward. "The past is behind—learn from it; the future is ahead—prepare for it; the present is here—live in it."
Tell me a more unlikeable player than Westbrook. There is one common denominator when there are issues with Westbrook, and that's Westbrook.

Everyone is talking about the quality of
@Nike
shoes. May I remind you that, most likely, you are not 6 feet 7 inches and 285 pounds with the power of a lion. I think that you will be just fine.
I coach
@chrisburgess34
son and it’s been a lot of fun getting to know Chris over the last year. He’s a high class person and competitor. Excited for him and what he will do. What a solid hire by BYU.
From an outsider, for those Ute fans screaming “Fire Whitt!” You need to take a deep breath and realize what that man has done. There are MANY top-tier programs that would love his talent and coaching consistency. He is a great mentor on and off the field.
Good seeing
@kalanifsitake
tonight at a basketball tournament supporting his son. The way he interacts with people is incredible. He is one of the most genuine dudes and it is why his teams give him everything they have when they play. He’s an all-time great in my book.
Media around COVID - Parties, sports venues, home gatherings, and restaurants over 10 people = bad and irresponsible. Riots, mass protests, and celebration of political party winning = acceptable and constitutionally correct. The bias is off the charts 🙄
I have said it a million times, but
@Brandon_Davies0
is the most talented big guy to come through BYU. He is long, he has good range, great post moves, and has an incredible basketball IQ.
In all seriousness, what’s the plan for the next 4-6 weeks? Quarantining can only work for so long & then the financial burden will devastate families. You’re going to get desperate people soon. A plan & timeline needs to at least be outlined in the next 7 days or so publicly
Yes. It’s a thing. And if I could, I’d add another circle that says “Upset at rioting, looting, and violence.” We can all work for improvement in all areas.
Didn't think that I would say this, but I am much happier with Rubio than George Hill. He is more of a true point guard, is more durable, and demands less money. What I thought was a loss last summer, was actually a win for the Jazz
I listen to adults talk about college kids’ loyalty and the transfer portal. May I remind you that most parents are yanking their kids back and forth from club teams and even high schools now. Where do you think they learned it!? 😶
Always will support my inner circle. My bro knows my loyalty and support. But it doesn’t mean that I agree with all things. Being an older brother, I must be a better example with my own actions. I’ve learned the hard way and am still mending relationships.
After watching numerous clips of the chaos in Afghanistan, I can truly again say how blessed we are to be here in the United States. No doubt about that. God bless America and God bless those that seek to have the same freedoms and safety we have 🙏🏻
10 years ago we started our fun Tournament run. Jimmer and I also scored 66 points against the Lobos in the MWC tournament. Man, that was a lot of points we scored.
Picked 9th during the preseason and
@USUBasketball
is co-champs during the regular season and tournament champs. That is very impressive. Everyone should respect and applaud that accomplishment.
Let’s stop bullying together. Teach your kids and be an example to those around you. Much love and prayers to those affected by the negative impacts of bullying 🙏🏻
We have a babysitter who picks up the house while she watches our boys. Game changer. If I had a daughter, I’d for sure teach her this is the secret for customer retention
Two gritty wins on the road! It took every guy and mid game adjustments to get it done. Props to the players and coaches! Two very tough games come next week.
