Watching Max Scherzer warm up from 8 ft above the pen at Nationals Park last summer was unreal. He’s always been a guy I look up to and try to match when it comes to intensity on the mound. Plus, my dad got a video of me watching him. The expression on my face was priceless

The reality is, 95% of college athletes today are NOT getting paid in any way shape or form. The public only sees the massive NIL deals at a handful of division one schools, and really only in football and basketball. Ain’t no college baseball player getting paid to play

Lack of athleticism is the leading cause for kids at 16 turning into a PO, myself included. Realized I could still have success as an average athlete on the mound. Can’t do that as a position player

I agree you guys don’t get paid near enough as pro athletes but it’s a very small percentage of student-athletes actually getting paid to go to school (e.g. Power 5 Football and Basketball). Those are really the only student-athletes getting paid, even with NIL
