I’ve experienced many rivalry games growing up as a coaches kid, player, and now coach. Katy/Katy Taylor, Brandeis/OC, Clark/Churchill … to name a few. I’ve always heard stories about the “Backyard Brawl” Jay/Holmes with 16k people packed into Gus. Now I get to live it #surreal.

14 years ago today, same field, locker room and stadium. I was a player, in these kids shoes, going through spring ball and starting up a new program, just like what’s happening now. It was a grind, sun up to sun down. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears that went into.
