I guess it depends how high your view of marriage is. There is a Christian and plausible argument to be made that households should vote as a single unit so as not to bring division between husband and wife. The liberal god of radical autonomy knows no such limit.

This is actually bad and instead of minimizing it relative to other places, American Christians should have zero tolerance for this.
The church I served for 15 years was kicked out of a building over LGBT issues in 2002, and experienced similar vandalism (and protests, and threats) after a hit piece was published about our center for the arts in 2010 or so. (Neutral world era, for those counting.)
