End of high school: 300+ lbs , lazy, lost, awful head space
End of Freshman Year of College : 200 lbs, big head, wanting more out of my body
End of college: 250 lbs, strong, confident, challenging myself daily
The work works.
Source? Me.
I will never forget what the team did for me at the end of the race Saturday night
I had ~2 miles left with around 30 mins to finish before the cutoff
Was broken physically- but I refused to quit mentally
What happened next was a moment I’ll cherish forever ⬇️
Went into some deep, DEEP waters yesterday
Holding true to B team’s rules
Won’t be first
Will probably be last (last in my age group )
But we don’t fucking QUIT
I do most my clothes shopping at target/ Walmart
I drive a Honda Civic
I couldn’t care less about the fancy things in life
I’m the happiest I’ve ever been because of the work I’ve done on myself, not the money I’ve spent on things
My friend
@ZachHomol
was permanently suspended on

He’s been changing so many peoples lives thru this platform- keeping him off of here would be a disservice to anyone and everyone he interacts with!

Less than a year ago I moved to Indy- being honest things were tight
Had to be extremely smart with how I was spending my money , business was just getting off the ground, & I was living 700 miles away from home/ my “safety net”
Was driving for Uber and Doordash on the side
Dude at the bike shop gave me attitude and scoffed that I was doing an Ironman
As I was about to spend a few hundred bucks at his store to fix my bike up
Took my business elsewhere lol
Are people this bad at business???
I have been there- 300+ lbs, lost, no idea where to start
I wanted answers and had to work to find them myself
Below- I’m telling you exactly what to do for the next 6 months to become the best version of you you’ve ever seen

I know many will disagree on this side of Twitter but- I do not see anything “wrong” with working a 9-5 job
And for many- it is a better option than trying to scrap together an online business
Took me 23 years + of my life to realize that others opinions of me do not matter
I have a few people in my circle who I trust and go to for advice/ lean on ; everyone else is just noise
I threw up at mile 20ish of the marathon in the Ironman
Looked at my watch and had ~ 1:25 to get to the finish line and 6.2 miles ahead of me
Could’ve easily thrown the towel in-like many did
But I didn’t train 8+ months to quit
Shut my brain off and got to work
February:
-Cut 55lbs in 9 weeks
-Deadlifting 600 lbs till I pass out at a strongman comp
-Couldn’t run more than a mile without dying
November:
-Ironman
Stop putting limits on yourself
Anything is possible.
Haven’t had a sugary snack in + 3 weeks
Or a drop of caffeine in over a week now
Might not seem like much, but as a life long fat kid at heart addicted to caffeine this is a big win
1 year ago today, I was in a U-Haul driving to start my life in Indy
Had my first Months expenses paid and 56 cents in my bank account
Not gonna lie- I was scared, nervous, all the emotions hit me at once
Just kept telling myself “we’re gonna figure this out”
1 year
If you told the kid on the right that he’d be competing in strongman shows, triathlons, coaching people towards being their best self and happy with life- I would have called you crazy
There were times I thought there was no way out, but RELENTLESS pursuit of my goals saved me
*Someone I graduated high school with asks me to help them with their fitness / nutrition*
*I give them options for different packages I offer*
"bro I thought you could help me out and do me a favor"
Favors don't pay my bills chief
As I turned- I saw the bright lights of the Ironman finish line and I knew I was close-
I saw the whole team waiting there for me- who had all finished hours before
I was fighting back tears as I came down the chute and finished with 2 mins to spare
I get chills watching this video of
@itsadamsikora
charging to the finish of Ironman Florida 🏆🏃🏻♂️💨
@zachhomol_
@louieruvolo
and the team running by his side
At mile 26 of the marathon… 12:26 am
Just wow 🤍
I’ll be in NJ in 2 weeks visiting family
and you bet I am gonna walk back into the bike store with my IM Florida medal on and give him the BIGGEST thumbs down he’s ever seen
In 1 year I will have:
Loaded a 300 lb atlas stone 10x
Benched 400+
300+ log press
Cut 55 lbs in ~10 wks
Competed in a strongman show
Finished a half and full Ironman race
Fuck your idea of what “normal” is
Get out of your comfort zone
Next- I hear
@zachhomol_
- who had also finished and I knew was beat up
He was screaming to me “TIME TO WORK LETS GO”- hyping me up to PUSH right when I needed it
He even ran with me for the last half mile before the turn towards the finish line
6 months ago- I paid a month of expenses upfront & was in a U-Haul on my way to Indy
I had 56 CENTS in my bank account
I had no choice but to make it work- and had 1 month to figure it out
Here’s a bit of what I learned 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
I have had this argument way too many times to count
But who wins in a battle:
Kodiak Grizzly Bear or a Gorilla
(There is only one right answer and I will die on this hill)
Far from the normal “triathlete” body type
May not be the fastest person there
But I promise you you’ll have to kill me to stop me from crossing that finish line
And I’m hard to kill
First- I see
@louieruvolo
- he had finished hours before- but he decided he was going to help pace me
All he said was “Adam- were gonna get you across that finish line. I don’t care what we have to do”
He paced me for the next 20+ mins- between fast walking and jogging
Losing Fat is HARD - Ive been there before
It takes work
But- it can be made simple
Heres 7 simple changes you can make to save you thousands of calories/ week ⤵️
Just got pulled over coming out of a rest stop
Not for speeding (he even said I didn’t cross the speed limit)
But “leaving the rest stop fast and looking like I was going to be speeding”
Aka merging onto the interstate
Got off with a “warning”
Good ol fashioned TRASH TALKIN from IVB
Pressing
@zachhomol_
over the head 4 different ways
If you can’t roast your training partners you’re lifting with the wrong crew 🤣🤣
Just released my first newsletter!!
A little background on my story, how I ended up here- and the decision I had to make when beginning my journey towards cutting 100+ lbs in a year
Being at the end of the pack in the Ironman I saw many peoples breaking point
The last 2-3 hours I had hardly anyone in eyesight of me
Saw many in the fetal position sobbing on the road,vomiting, and some crawling
Nothing but respect for those who put themselves out there
Been building my business on an iPad with a keyboard attached to it
Blessed enough that I am finally in a spot where I can afford a computer + some awesome software on it
Lesson: you don’t need the fanciest equipment or setup
You just need to START
At a loss for words at what this weekend meant to me
The Do Hard Things Conference was everything I expected and then some
I laughed a ton, cried more, dove deep into the mind and gave more hugs than I ever have
Leaving my family 650+ miles away in NJ was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done
But I know this move will give me the opportunity to do more with them than I can even imagine
Years from now- ill be looking back on this as the best decision I’ve ever made
Teaching my brother a few basic exercises at Planet Fitness
Haven’t been here in 6+ years but if you know what you’re doing it can be a great option for a gym
