This is a bit misleading though. Under Colonial rule, Lord Lugard refused to allow Xtian Missionaries access to Muslim lands on the premise that he had promised their rulers colonialism would never interfere with Islam except on capital punishments which masu sarautu were abusing
With Kano under British control and Sarki Alu exiled to Lokoja, the British invited Rev. Miller to come back to Kano in 1905 to propose an education system, although evangelism was to be restricted to Europeans and their servants, despite Miller’s desire to do evangelical work.

Sometimes the problem is language. In Hausa language/culture, yaya is not limited to siblings. It is also used to refer to anyone older than you, related or not. The comparison is flawed and says more about your state of mind- that if you use yaya in said context, it is because you likely have incest tendencies. With due respect, this says more about you than you realize.
You have pedophilic/incest tendencies if you don't see anything wrong with your wife/sexual partner calling you 'Yaya'.

I am surprised you think they won’t eventually do this. They are friendly and even submissive when they need you. The moment they don’t, you will regret knowing them. It is why I prefer the other side. They might be rude and rowdy, but they are almost always honest with their feelings.
