Hey 👋🏼 Perfect question! On Legion, oversubscription doesn’t work the same way as in traditional fundraising. Unlike public sales where anyone can contribute until a hardcap is hit, Legion reviews applications and approves only the amount of people needed to match the hardcap. So in Giza’s case, “5x oversubscribed” means that the total requested allocations from applicants were five times higher than the available supply. The project received $6.7M in requests but only approved a portion of them to match the hardcap. You’re right that oversubscription in the typical sense (where deposits exceed the cap) doesn’t happen on Legion, but here it refers to the sheer demand exceeding available spots.
