A long-standing tradition at Columbia is the night before finals “primal scream.” At midnight, students held an impromptu scream in front of Minouche Shafik’s residence. Finals were postponed until next week, but originally scheduled to begin tomorrow.

Alumni of Columbia University and Barnard College announced in a press release today that they will be redirecting donations to the UN Relief and Works Agency, Palestinian Children’s Fund, and World Central Kitchen. They will also boycott reunions. Full press release here:

About 70-100 protesters are in the new Columbia encampment, according to someone inside. This weekend is alumni weekend, and they say alumni are engaging in the encampment.

Visiting my family in the Andes and we discovered this protest in the Plaza Mayor de Cusco, Peru. An organizer told me this group, Cusco con Palestina, is here every Thurs. "La República" reported an altercation between Israeli tourists and protesters last month, caught on video.

Today, the U.S. repatriated seven Korean soldiers killed at the Battle of Chosin in 1950 back to South Korea. Only one of the sets of remains was identified, and 73 years later, his nephew came to Pearl Harbor to claim his remains. Here are some photos I took today:
