You can get a copy of my second book, F# in Action, direct from @ManningBooks here in both eBook and paperbook: It's based on the many lessons I've learned from both running a business centered on F#, writing a book on F#, speaking with hundreds of different individuals' experiences as well as training and working with customers for nearly 10 years. It covers everything from the basics of functions and data to scripts, data analysis, domain modelling and functional programming best practices and requires no prior knowledge of .NET or FP. I'm super proud of it - I hope you enjoy it, too! #fsharp #functionalprogramming #fp @dotnet #dotnet #ml #ocaml #javascript #webdev

This is one of the reaosns why I'm actually scared for the future of British Jews when I see stories like this.
šØ BREAKING: Palestinian migrants have been granted the right to settle in Britaināafter applying through a scheme designed for Ukrainian refugees. Yes, you read that right. A family from Gaza bypassed UK immigration rules, using the Ukraine Family Scheme form, and an activist judge decided their āhuman rightsā trump our right to safety. Even Yvette Cooperās activist Home Office warned this could open the floodgates for anyone in any conflict zone with relatives in Britain to demand entry. Yet here we are. Tory Chris Philp calls it āalarming and dangerousāāand heās right. Judges are now making up immigration policy, overriding Parliament, and stretching human rights laws beyond all recognition. Britain cannot be the worldās refugee camp. Time to take back controlābefore the next āone-offā case becomes a tidal wave. God help us all.

The latest episode of #severance has some amazing drama. Transcended most other shows out there - phenomenal acting by John Turturro.

@RickStrahl Ah, ok - that makes sense now - if you can't load the type instance then it's probably going to be somewhat be limited. I guess? :-)

@RickStrahl Can you elaborate on that? The screenshot here is F# (yeah, I know...) but what is GetGenericArguments() failing on? In this example, it gives back [ System.Int32 ]. Just curious here - not doubting what you're experiencing, just would like to know more :-)

@RickStrahl "the interfaces that are returned are not showing the generic type values unless they are cast to the correct generic reference type first" Ouch - that doesn't sound right :-(

@RickStrahl Can't you just use the methods available on System.Type to interrogate the generic type arguments rather than messing about with string parsing?

@RickStrahl I assume you're not talking about parsing the string but rather using the System.Type instance to understand the generic arguments?

@MossyMosbacher This is the sort of person she is - no great surprise that her positions don't actually form a coherent whole.

The Palestinian failed strategy over the past 80 years is simple: 1. Get offered something. 2. Say no. 3. Offer is removed. 4. Get offered something less than before. 5. Accept the previous offer, although that is no longer on the table. 6. Repeat
If those in Gaza don't want to move then they should not move. But they cannot expect to continue to wage war on Israel from Gaza. They cannot expect - and work - to destroy Israel and recreate it as a Palestine, from the river to the sea. They cannot have it both ways.
