@RealCFrampton It’s horrible but in many way its boxings own fault. Too many governing bodies, too much politics, too many “false” belts, no overarching body to determine champ v champ, not enough collaboration between promoters and tv networks. It’s too selfish, too insular and too slow.

@JamieBrysonCPNI Unionist actually have to take responsibility. They’ve refused to embrace and encourage N. Irish symbols, flags etc. Obsession with holding onto UK symbols, while Welsh, Scottish have embraced their own unique identity. The old N. Ireland flag was retired in 1972 FFS.

@BenLowry2 I grew up in south Down, my family were (small U) unionist & proudly Irish/N.Irish. Over the years shifted politically to center while 3/4 of the kids have moved abroad to London, Middle East & US. Unionism hasn’t evolved, it’s not working, nor is it attracting new people to it

For me Reading stories such as this about suicide are simply shocking and heartbreaking that someone doesn’t feel they have an alternative solution or path to take.

@TeamUnion_UK I played football & hockey for my school in Co Down and from our squad of 16 players who did A levels in 2002, 12 of us eventually left Ireland, either pre or post uni and only 2 returned. I’m one of 4 kids and 3 of us no longer live in NI so it’s not a ROI thing. @onestep4ward

@WalshmrG Just travelled from the Nyc to Manchester then Manchester to Amsterdam today. The line at Schiphol airport for non EU passport holders was 45 mins to 90 mins. Thankfully on my ☘️ passport I was straight through. 2 passports & protocol are two of the benefits of being N. Irish!

That means means 4/5 voters didn’t agree with the DUPs stance enough to vote for it. Yet it has final say on the foreseeable future of our country!?

@duponline Mmm so Brexit wasn’t supported by a majority but that’s ok, Protocol is supported by the majority but that’s not ok. The UK gov negotiated and implemented the NIP now Supreme Court, the UK law of the land has deemed the NIP to be legal. Seems your issue is with British state.
