A few weeks back, I took all (4) rail services: MRT-3, LRT-2, PNR, LRT-1 and covered app. 35kms in 55min but overall journey lasted 3h; The balance attributed to transfers.
💡Rail is important but it needs to function with other modes for access to stations + various transfers.
Rail will not solve our problems if it’s not designed to complement other modes of transport and vv; this violation of the Building Code, ie during construction, a temporary walkway should be provided, is evidence of Government’s failure to see the need for a system.

Side trip to Baclaran Church - as it turns out, also a refuge for a lot of people. Why the government doesn’t see the value in parks is prolly because they’re simply not looking. It’s time to measure our cities against metrics that matter to actual people.
