How I built a $2.88B Doordash competitor as a solo founder, and failed. S1E1. Before diving into my 8-month startup journey, the NFT hype was everywhere. Seeing people with zero coding skills succeed was all the motivation I needed to jump in and build something of my own. After months of 'what ifs,' I finally created my first GitHub organization as a solopreneur. And just like that, Daily, a grocery delivery startup, was born. In just 8 months, Daily grew into 14 repositories with over 1 million lines of code. You might wonder, why grocery delivery? At the time, Instacart and Doordash were dominating grocery delivery, and I wanted to take on the giants, a classic underdog story, 1 solo founder vs teams of 30+ people. But here’s where I made my first big mistake. Also, I didn’t do proper market research. By the time Daily was ready, COVID restrictions were easing, and people were eager to go grocery shopping themselves. But with every high comes a low. What happened next? Stay tuned for S1E2. Takeaway: Before jumping into your next big idea, think carefully about the problem you’re solving. Don’t let pride cloud your judgment. And always do market research to ensure there’s a real demand, it’s not just about solving your pain.

@PLBompard most of my weekends I’m working on my side projects for maximum 4 hours, after that I’m spending time with my family, creating memories.

@snowmaker true, but is sad that we don’t see any action from the government, to start adopting or invest in AI.
