In the run-up to the launch of 'The Story of Splott in 50 Objects' pocket museum, Inksplott is running a series of teaser articles giving a glimpse of what might make the cut, starting with 'What's in a name?' - the origin of 'Splott'.

Splott Community Volunteers has a fantastic range of weekly activities (and most for free!). There's also a few extras coming up - community lunches, bingo, bus trip and afternoon teas - keep an eye on their website for more information.

There's a fantastic games night & cycle school (as in unicycles!) taking place Saturday night in the STAR Centre hall (Splott Road, NOT Splott Park). Entry is through the main STAR Centre doors on Splott Road and there will be loads of free activities and refreshments #Splott

Winter Warm Club returns to Splott Community Volunteers on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from January through March. Free hot drinks, snacks, pet food bank, period dignity stand, wifi and printer. There are books to read, games to play and the charity shop will be open #Splott
