It's official! The Bitcoin initiative has been published in the Federal Gazette (Bundesblatt) today!๐. This means the signatures collection phase starts today. The committee will have until 30.06.2026 to collect and submit 100,000 manuscript signatures from Swiss citizens. 1/3.

Tanzania have shut down five hydroelectric stations in a bid to reduce excess electricity in the national grid. It is the first time Tanzania, which suffers chronic power shortages, has closed hydroelectric stations due to excess production.

@ydemombynes Switzerland doesn't try to make it hard for citizens/residents to buy/sell/transact in Bitcoin. Many regulated banks offer buy/sell/transactions services, including some state owned. It is taxed as wealth, like gold, with no capital gain. A transaction is not a taxable event.๐คทโโ๏ธ.
