@anmy_lis awwww you’re so sweet! that makes me happy love ❤️❤️ I like to think as long as their memory lives on and is appreciated a part of them will always be here. I will forever be a fan of her because she is and was so human, and authentic. strong figures always remind me of my mom

@RandomCodeFind you’ll have to listen past the narration of the documentary but I often wonder what a singing career from her would’ve looked like

@RandomCodeFind as far as debbie reynolds this might be my favorite number of hers, I love anything with moving sets. and she’s well along in her career here, with singin in the rain giving her a solid foundation to work with. absolutely love this one!
debbie reynolds & jane powell in the 1954 movie entitled ‘athena’ performing ‘I never felt better.’ this song is so me, i relate to like all the lyrics. “when I try making money i never have much luck” - felt; it is hard to be demure with no bag.

@RandomCodeFind it truly is tragic, I sometimes feel like I can’t speak about certain people without bringing up my mother. but with figures who struggled, it is always important to remember their highs, and their rebounds. everyone is truly stronger than they can put to words.

@RandomCodeFind it’s the first one, whose stars enamored me enough to seek it out in my own. I do consider singin’ in the rain and west side story to be my ‘gateway drugs’ persay to the genre.

side note I just noticed this was actually a censored version, there’s a cut halfway through this clip that doesn’t happen in the film. I guess that was too much for the older generation, it was just her wrapping her leg around his waist.
gene kelly, musical icon of the golden era in hollywood and regarded as one of the best rap dancers of the generation, performing this lovely dance number with the beautiful and talented cyd charisse in ‘singin’ in the rain’ (1952). I heard he choreographed the dance
