Ima Keithel (Women’s Market) at Tera Bazaar was in dilapidated condition, thus had proposed for construction of a new market which was approved by NEC for which the Foundation Stone was laid today in order to commence the construction work. We will witness a Double Storey Women’s Market for the welfare of the women who are having their shops/stalls there along with the people of the nearby locality.

Inaugurated the Meira Shang at Sagolband Ingudam Leirak, a double storey Meira Shang as proposed by the elders of the locality. Work for Women’s Market at Tera Bazaar is about to start for which the Foundation Stone will be laid on 14th February. Will also inaugurate the Double Storey Club Building at Sagolband Akham Lampak on 16th Feb. Sayang Pukhri has been reconstructed and about to be completed, will beautify it like Bijoy Govinda Thangapat with lightings on all sides which also has an open gym and park.

Laid the Foundation Stone for a Double Storey Club Building at Sagolband Meino Leirak, which will be also used as a Meira Shang on the ground floor. We will target the completion of the building within the next year or so. Have also constructed a Water ATM at Meino Leirak Machin and Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai, which will give benefits to the people of the nearby localities. Also Requested the Development Committee Members to prepare for the inauguration of the Double Storey Community Hall at Meino Leirak for which the construction was completed last year.

Laid the Foundation Stone for a Double Storey Building at Takhelambam Leikai, which will serve as a Community Hall on the ground floor and as the Office of the Language Planning and Implementation on the first floor. The present building is in dilapidated condition, thus the need of a new structure which will also house a community hall for the people of Takhelambam Leikai.

Another round of Health Camp conducted today at Sagolband Moirang Leirak Manung, where Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee in association with UPHC Sagolband organised a Health Camp at the locality community hall. The purpose is to ensure that basic health facilities reaches the people in their localities, government health schemes are easily available for the people at their doorstep. Free OPD consultations, screening for blood pressure, diabetes, immunisation, free blood test, free medicines, eye check ups were conducted. Will hold the next camp at Sagolband Kuraomakhong soon for the welfare of the people of the area.

Good news for the people of Manipur, for starting the additional flights to be operated by Alliance Air to Gauhati, Kolkata and Dimapur from Imphal with the rate capped at Rs 5000/. This will improve regional connectivity and make it more feasible for the general public. Thank the Central Government and the State Government for this initiative. It’s certainly positive news for our people during this early part of the New Year, hopefully there will be peace and more development in the whole region.

A Special Outreach Camp was organised by UPHC Sagolband at Wahengbam Leikai, where more than 100 people participated in the said health camp having the basic laboratory test being conducted, along with OPD consultation, NCD screening, eye check up, immunisation and free medicines provided in the presence of doctors and officials present. Members of SCPC have been organising this camp in various parts of Sagolband for the last couple of years, thus ensuring that the people of the nearby localities can avail the facilities for free.

Inaugurated a cemented pitch and Winter Coaching Camp at Sagolband Bijoy Govinda Ground for young boys and girls under 15 years. Manipur Cricket is organising such camps across 8 different locations in Manipur where nearly 450-500 young budding cricketers are going to participate in the camp and learn the art and trade from experienced coaches. We are building the foundation for the future generation of players who will one day represent our State and make us proud in the near future.

A new Double Storey Community Hall at Babupara, Sagolband AC has been completed, it is ready to be handed over to the people of the locality soon. A proposal initiated by the women members/Mahila morcha of the locality, we have been able to complete it in just over a year’s time. Will ensure that there is large scale development all across Sagolband. As the rainy season comes to an end, all the roads affected by the rains and floods will also be repaired and blacktopped soon. We will start work by mid November and repair all the affected roads in Sagolband over due course of time.
