In Japan for a concert, cute girl asked me what I do for work
"Shadowverse YouTuber"
"What's that?"
"Cygames card game"
Confused look
Then another guy comes in "Woah Cygames? That's a huge deal!"
I will never forget you
Thanks for joining me on my first EVER Vanguard experience!
Coming from other card games, I really like it! The way you progress power over a game without relying on a mana system at all, the decisions between holding to guard and flooding to attack - super clever.
Also my wife
Shadowverse: "Allow me to introduce myself"
- 8 year life span
- Made enough money to make a sequel with updated graphics, mechanics, overworld
- Still extremely F2P friendly
I truly think that if the management of these games were more passionate, they could have found a way
It's the end of an era. Free to play card games aren't viable. TESL, Gwent, and now LoR all suffered the same fate. It wasn't an advertising issue but a monetization one. Being generous to your players doesn't make money. The code wasn't cracked to make things worth buying
If you a streamer interested in trying the Shadowverse (card game) reboot in a few months and wanna link up don't hesitate - I'm Mr Shadowverse
Size doesn't matter, just trying to get people to play
Hey familia.
I appreciate the concern y'all have shown for me as a Shadowverse content creator in regards to the Worlds Beyond delay - thank you.
I will be okay: I have multiple safety nets in my savings, my SVE ambassadorship, and my content plans for SV until Spring 2025.

Everything You Need To Know About SHADOWVERSE: WORLDS BEYOND (Frame-By-Frame)

Kinda surprised how much of Vanguard Twitter is tuned into my anime reactions
I'm glad you're enjoying it but I did not expect it I'm literally just watching the shows normally LOL
I revisited Cardfight Vanguard after they announced a Shadowverse Evolve collaboration. But I did NOT expect to play one of the most hype card game matches I've ever played! I get it now.
🔗⬇️
One thing I really like about Vanguard is that because of your Ride deck you ALWAYS get your boss monster
So many Shadowverse decks hinge around 1 card where if they're at the bottom half of your deck you literally can't do anything and then lose
LoR's downfall wasn't because it was generous
Source: I'm maining Shadowverse where a lot of the pro players I'm friends with have never spent a cent and they still compete at the highest level of competition
It's so sad to me that card games that aim to be generous & low-cost haven't found a way to sustainable or successful yet.
Almost feels like the market WANTS to be exploited for an insane amount of money.

"How does the Shadowverse community feel about Worlds Beyond?"
Asking content creators, competitive players, and of course the normal players
Keep leaving comments, might end up in the final video
Want to ask any past/lapsed SV players what they think as well, please let me know
Something I thought would be cool
What if Shadowverse Worlds Beyond basic card art had the OG main cast?
Paying homage to the first game / makes the original characters feel legendary
The Cinnamoroll leader comes with an emblem, animated sleeves, and an animated flair!
You can get all this by purchasing the leader after the v4.2.10 update!
It's a bit discouraging when people dunk on my efforts as a content creator, even as a joke, and it happens all the time. I guess since I'm a big fish in the small pond that's English Shadowverse I'm seen as an OK target since it's "punching up" but I don't feel OK about it.
It's clear to me that to be a Shadowverse content creator in 2024, I will need a wide range of skills
I'm already good at Fall Guys and MMO fishing
So my final training arc starts now
I see a lot of my TL asking "what's next" for a game after LOR. I know how important a digital focus is, so I'm not going to waste your time recommending things like FAB/OPTCG etc, but instead suggest SV:WB
-Fresh entry point to SV
-Cash prizing events
-In client social focus
WE FOUND THE NICHIJOU RESTAURANT
MY SISTER ORDERED YAKISOBA, OPENED THE BOX AND IT WAS YAKISABA, AND ONLY AFTER SHE LOOKED AT THE FISH IN CONFUSION DID THEY SERVE HER NOODLES

NEW SET
- ARTIFACT IS BROKEN BEYOND BELIEF
- CRYSTALLIZE IS ALSO BROKEN BUT JEANNE IS SO BUSTED SHE EVEN MAKES HEAL GOOD
- EVO BLOOD IS PRETTY GOOD
- RALLY SWORD AND ER ARE MID
- GHOST IS COPE
- DRAGON AND FOREST ARE TRASH
Bought an iPad, Apple store clerks astonished and giggling at me being Indonesian
Quieted down real fast when I took out the platinum card though

I let it slip in a recent video so I'll say it outright
My mom's fighting cancer right now and I'm barely holding it together
I'll do my best to keep content coming since work distracts me from my thoughts but if I disappear randomly you know why
Please send some love her way
Regardless, the delay is disappointing - and besides me, there are very talented creators that will look elsewhere besides Shadowverse to apply their efforts after today's news, and no one could blame them.
That's a massive loss for the community, and that's what hurts most.

If you're a competitive player dropping Hearthstone because of the esports changes, check out Shadowverse
Prize pools aren't too big, but there's online tourneys every month with cash on the line - much less feast or famine than dedicating time at MTs for a chance at Worlds
People will claim having predatory monetization is the only way to survive in the TCG/CCG space
I want to make it clear that that is simply not true - the fault lies with management
LoR's downfall wasn't because it was generous
Source: I'm maining Shadowverse where a lot of the pro players I'm friends with have never spent a cent and they still compete at the highest level of competition
It's been quite literally 1 day since I was announced as an ambassador for SVEE and I'm already getting angry comments that I'm not making enough content for it
Good to see people are so passionate
