@truesolicitor I'm reminded of this from @DanNeidle 👇 Is it fair to say that even if it's in your interest to delete a post, you're generally still entitled to publish or refer to the SLAPP letter/email itself, despite some solicitors disingenuously claiming otherwise?
Important news for everyone who cares about free speech. The Solicitors Regulation Authority has banned solicitors from sending libel threats falsely labelled as "confidential" or "without prejudice", to bully the recipients into not publishing them.

@Jxspxrth I'll rephrase my first point: you could read the thread as - making a general point using academia as an example, but not limited to academia, and - not necessarily motivated by self interest and if so you're talking at cross purposes. Apart from that I think you've been clear.

@Jxspxrth @kirbyconrod It's possible to be happy with one's job and still be angry that other people's jobs suck though? Also the idea that proletarianisation is totally distinct from and not an intrinsic feature of capitalism seems like a bold assumption that deserves a bit more unpacking?
