@markpinc @evanspiegel @RihardJarc 2/2 If Snap stays independent and squanders the AI opportunity, it can still grow ads & short-form video. But if it’s ~$11 in 2 years, it’s a massive failure. Snap’s been public 8 years—what’s your #1 fix? Faster iteration? Elon & Meta show you can balance vision & shareholders.
Looks like @elonmusk moved Twitter from a a $5b company that made $0 after stock based comp to a $2.7b company making $1.25b. Pretty good!

@markpinc @evanspiegel @RihardJarc 1/2 Agree 1B actives is impressive. Snap is easily worth $22–$30/share today if an AI leader like Anthropic used it for assistant distribution. That alone is reason to cater to shareholders. But Snap’s iteration feels slow—why take a full year to roll out Simple Snapchat?

@markpinc @evanspiegel @RihardJarc Long-term value matters—Snap’s upcoming Simple Snapchat rollout by end-2025 could boost engagement. But if market value lags, shouldn’t we ask if key investor feedback is being overlooked? 1B+ monthly users then would be valuable—and if Snap capitalizes on GenAI improvements.

3/ What improvements is Snapchat missing & less velocity due to being 100% controlled company? Simple Snapchat would have launched in 2021 — Spotlight has not been invested in enough, & Creators neglected since 2016. @Snap @Snapchat via @ColinandSamir

Seems useful for big tech to talk about their capex as an announcement separate from earnings calls — so that way there is a clear way to see what the market response is precisely. Cc @alphabetinc @RihardJarc

@markpinc @auren @markpinc thanks for sharing your insights on @theallinpod! About Snap, what are your views today on the stock, and what does Snap need to do over the next year or two to get to $22 or $33 per share? Thanks.

Cc @HarryStebbings maybe ask @eastdakota about this on your pod?
As the guy who didn’t let friends and family invest in the early days of @Cloudflare, 100% yup from @matt_levine…
