One reason to build on ICP is for the decentralisation. Not for the decentralisation of tokens or protocols, you can get that anywhere. On #ICP you can decentralise the rest of the stack. The user facing service running on top of your protocol! Why is this important? This is the difference between a true DAO and a DAOish organisation relying on humans, credit cards and hosting providers in local jurisdictions. Being stuck in a local jurisdiction not only makes the org not a DAO, it creates legal risks for parties involved. Who wants to take the credit card bill for hosting Tornado Cash?! Running the full stack onchain allows DAOish orgs to unstuck themselves and become fully DAOs. This is one of the main reasons to consider ICP. Will write more on this soon.

Hey! What you're looking to do is certainly possible, but currently, we don’t have a UI feature available for manually deploying ICRC tokens. However, I recommend waiting for our upcoming back-end and front-end upgrades, which will include a feature with a similar outcome. We’re introducing more options where enabling “tokenized governance” will automatically create a token (ledger) for your project and automates the distribution process for you. You could always manually deploy ledgers under your project, but at this time, we only support “No governance” or “Member voting governance”.
