"Learning developers are our partners, not a form of outsourcing ... we need to work out how we can benefit each other" - I like this perspective from a head of an academic department at #aldcon24

Thanks to our fantastic audience for participating in this session and all the great suggestions to move #plagiaruedo on #aldcon24
A playful session at #ALDcon24 by Ian Johnson @ianjohnson168 and Laura Barclay @EdDucatingLaura from University of Portsmouth - Plagiaruedo: Teaching of academic integrity through a ‘whodunnit’ game (any likeness to other games is intentional!). #LoveLD

One that might interest attendees of #aldcon23 - I hope represented the audience and student panel viewpoints (it was a while ago now) - like so much of our #loveld stuff, it feels like there are more questions than answers / more conversations to be had!
In #LoveLD magazine issue 4, Ian Johnson @ianjohnson168 (University of Portsmouth) responds to an article in Issue 3, making a call to action for Learning Developers & asks "How do we make LD more attractive for every student?". See pages 12-13 in issue 4

Thanks @NicolaGrayson - that was my pleasure. It is an important article that you've written, that I'd encourage people in and around LD to read. I hope it provokes more conversations!
A big THANK YOU to @ianjohnson168 for his support in contributing to my #LoveLD article. Really appreciate you adding your reflections on the important issue of progression for LDers/ third spacers 🌻. Full article here:

Thanks to @GradSchoolUoP for the opp to write this blog. It is vital that newer brave souls on the 'doctoral journey' get to hear us survivors' tales, warts and all! I'll be presenting it at UOP Grad School's interdisciplinary research group next Weds 3-5pm too
Studying alongside working can be a daunting prospect. However, many of our amazing PGR students are doing just that! In our latest Student Spotlight, Dr Ian Johnson, who has recently completed his Prof Doc, shares his top study tips. @ianjohnson168
