@audiosand and I wrote for @Transom_org about our and @soundfields_org very earnest commitment to carrying the torch for audio documentary. We didn’t land on big podcasting, big podcasting landed on us !

Absolutely gutted by this news. Short Cuts was formative for me and so many peers. It taught us to explore our voices & take creative risks. It has been a beacon for art on the radio and emerging makers. @FallingTreeProd fought for and built us an oasis 🕯️
After 12 years on the radio, @JosieLong's Short Cuts will have its last series on @BBCRadio4 this winter.

@aliyapabani I loved how your interview with him felt like a sharing of wisdom / part of a shared fight, as opposed to the voyeuristic framing that opens the newer article. Regardless, Davit is clearly a remarkably resilient and creative person. I am glad your podcast exists!
