As a Senior software engineer at Kuda with years of experience in the tech space, I've seen too many life-changing opportunities overlooked. It's time to change that. Stay tuned for tips and insights on how to seize the best opportunities in tech! 💡
I believe tech is one of the fastest way to make 7 figures monthly in Nigeria (as a 9-5 worker). It takes way longer for medicine or law. I have friends that didn’t even graduate from Uni and are working remotely for companies abroad, earning in USD
Tech isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. I remember starting my tech journey 3 years ago. I would study all through the night so many times. There was a night i studied from 10pm till 5am next day, went straight to prepare for work, then I slept in the BRT bus from Festac to CMS.
Introducing TELEIOS!!!
Teleios is a free online community designed to help individuals become proficient in various tech skills. The platform provides a supportive environment for learning, connecting with peers, and gaining practical experience through project-based learning.
Hello guys, I’ll be sponsoring 5 people interested in taking any tech-related course on Udemy. Repost or tag whoever you think would need it. Please note that you don't have to be following to be selected. Tell me what course you'd like to take and why. I'll be in the comment. ❤️
This is my workstation now. Compared to the last post, we’ve come a long way. I remember seeing this setup on Twitter and saying “God when”. Incase you’re that person, it’s possible. Just put in the work.
With a laptop, an internet connection and power supply, you can literally transform your life financially. All it takes is to learn a skill excellently well and monetize it.
I’ve seen it happen to many people, including myself.
Cooking up something for all of you interested in learning different tech skills, I’m currently working on a free platform where everyone can learn any tech skill of their choice.
@Temmy_laade
and I are working together to make this vision a reality.
Anticipate 💪🏾🔥
Immerse yourself in materials related to the tech skill you're trying to learn or upskill in. Do it every day, no matter how small, even if it's reading a blog post. Talk about it with friends. People should know that you're chasing something.
What if we had a university that actually teaches people marketable skills, instead of abstract stuff that are mostly irrelevant in the labour market. Things like tech skills, social media mgt skills, content creation etc🤔
Seasoned techies are rare in Nigeria. The really good ones have endless opportunities. I’ve turned down jobs worth millions of naira monthly, and I had no one to recommend with my full chest.
That’s about to change with Teleios.
There is a relationship between laziness and poverty. Make it your duty to work hard and be productive every day.
Invest in yourself, and improve your mind and your value. Please do so if you need to take a course or read a book. People gravitate toward value, not just desire.💡
If you’re looking for something you can learn in 6 months and make a million naira monthly from it, don’t go into tech.
6 months doesn’t cut it in my opinion, you’ll just be one of the many average techies we have here. Take your time and build your skills.
The number one reason people miss out on tech jobs is lack of skill. That’s the major requirement to landing tech jobs. I’ve literally turned down lots of Job offers since I started working at Kuda. Meanwhile, there are people looking for these same opportunities.
These are the skills you can learn that doesn’t require writing code (in no order of priority)
1. UX/UI Design
2. Product Management
3. Data Analysis
4. Cybersecurity
5. Technical Writing
6. Cloud Engineering
7. Digital Marketing
8. Tech Support
9. QA Testing
10. Devops
This community would be project-based. You’re not just learning but building products that solves problems, not to-do list or any of those basic stuff.
Best project after 3 months would be awarded 1 million naira. 💪🏾🚀

Don’t be afraid to try different things. Don’t drop tech just because you didn’t like that data science course, try something else. I first did frontend and hated it, then tried design (didn’t last a day), before I landed in DevOps and Backend engineering. Loving it till now

Make up your mind to be successful in all areas of your life. Spirituality, mentally, financially.
Do it for yourself, do it for your family, do it for your future.
who else are you doing it for? Comment
To those of you already learning that tech skill, keep at it. 🚀💪🏾
A dream doesn’t become reality overnight, it takes sweat, determination and hard work. Ask anyone who is successful, they’ll tell you that it took a lot of focus and discipline.
If you want to get into tech and don’t have a laptop, here’s my advice.
Start from somewhere, get a normal job, even if it’s as an admin or receptionist, don’t just sit at home (except you can afford to).
Save up and buy a laptop. While you’re saving, use your phone to read up on
Spiritually, mentally, and physically, you should be improving every day of your life. You should look at who you were last year and just laugh. Keep working hard, and soon the result will show. ❤️💡
If you’re reading this and you’re in the same position I was in, this is me telling you the same thing my friend told me… you can do it too, Just put in the work. I’m working on a community to help guide people in their tech journey (something I wish I had). Stay tuned for it.
You should have something motivating you, to help keep you on your toes.
This was my laptop wallpaper when I was learning DevOps. Keep your motivation before your eyes everyday. I love gadgets, yours could be anything.
I was struggling to make progress on a project due to lack of focus. One night, i decided to grind it out from midnight till 5am, and it taught me a valuable lesson: When you fully commit to something and refuse to stop until it’s done, you can achieve more than you think."
Total man!!! Develop yourself body, spirit and soul.
I think there’s a mental resilience that working out gives you. Keep going even if it hurts, you’ll reap the rewards in the future.
Celebrate the small wins. If you were able to complete that online training, or you finished that project, it’s an achievement. Reward yourself for it, and then get back to work. Consistency is key, and rewarding yourself motivates you to go again.
The opportunities are enormous for tech talents. This is because tech skills are global skills, it’s different from ICAN or other skills that are only useful in Nigeria. If you have the skill, you can work for companies globally. I’ll explain this tomorrow on
@Temmy_laade
’s Space
Consistency is key. Start by being consistent for a week, then for a month, then for 100 days. Trust me, if you can hack this, you can be exceptional at anything.
Nigeria’s greatest resource is Human Resources. We have millions of people who can gain skills and work for companies abroad at affordable fx rates , Indians do this excellently. We should work on exporting our human resources to companies abroad without us having to “Japa”.
Nobody makes $80k and tells you to pay N50k to learn it. He’s making his money from you.
I think most affiliate marketers are scammers. The problem is that many people want to make quick money, that’s why they fall for the scam.
I’m going to be sharing certain skills you can learn fast (I know most people don’t like to code), and I’ll also share links to where you can learn them for free.
I’ll be giving away some Udemy paid courses if you’re really interested in learning.
If you’re a christian, you should pray in tongues more often. Once I start praying, ideas just begins to pour in like this!
Truly there’s a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the almighty gives him understanding.
Be excellent at what you do. Trust me, many opportunities will open up for you. I’ve worked with skillful engineers, I’ve also worked with bad engineers. Companies line up for the good ones. Maybe those opportunities haven’t opened up because you need to improve your skills.
I've realized that your wealth and relevance are directly tied to the value you bring to others. I'm making it my mission to provide value to people—make it yours too.
I think AI would change the way we work in the near future. It’s already changing how we work, but it’ll be massive in a few years.
I’m looking to build more AI products especially for the African market. Also looking to collaborate with others working with AI.
Take your small projects like you’re delivering for a Fortune 500 company. Put in your best effort, let every new work you do be your best work yet. That’s the mindset you need to build, to eventually land the 7 figure paying jobs.
One of the ways to bring out the best in you is to create a state of tension. Create pressure for yourself to get stuff done. Set a tight deadline or something, promise someone that you’d learn that skill or deliver that project.
If you’re already on that tech journey, refuse to quit, refuse to give up.
I know it’s hard and frustrating, but that’s how it’s supposed to be. Nothing good ever comes easy, but I promise you it’ll be worth it at the end.
“In all labour there is profit: But the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.”
Proverbs 14:23 KJV
Take action now towards your goals, no matter how small. Talking about it and wishing for it won’t get you there. Take action!
If you’re going to thrive in tech, be ready to sacrifice a lot of your time. Many time-wasting activities would have to stop, you almost won’t have a social life anymore.
🎉🎉Good news!!! 🎉🎉.....

3 years ago, I found myself in a tough spot, working as a field engineer with a paycheck that barely covered my basic needs{40k}. Every day was a struggle, and it felt like I was just treading water, unable to get ahead. Then, something happened that changed everything. I had a
Succeeding in tech needs a certain type of grit. You have to push yourself to the limit, make both your brain and body sweat. That’s what I love about it, you bring out an aspect of yourself you never thought was there .
Your belief system is a contribution to your success or your failure. If you don’t believe you can earn a certain amount, or come out of a negative situation, you most likely never will. Start by changing your mindset.
We have less than 100 days till the end of the year. If you can pick a skill and learn consistently for the next 100 days, you’d be very good at it by next year. Make that decision now
I actually don’t think the labour market is saturated. There are lots of jobs waiting for skilled workers. So many Nigerian companies are hiring expatriates, majorly because the talents in Nigeria aren’t good enough. Just Up skill yourself, and you’ll see opportunities literally
I can be so radical😂
I told someone to quit his job and come work for my startup. Something we’re not even sure will succeed. But that’s the mindset I have, I’m all in or not there at all.
For those asking me if they should buy Bank shares, I won’t tell you not to.
As for me, I’d rather give my money to Iya jumai that sells food in my area to expand her food business. I’m more likely to get my money back with profit.

Someone asked if I’m in tech cus I have a genuine interest in it, or cus it pays well.
I love tech, but I honestly don’t think it matters. I’ve seen people who didn’t have prior interest, dive into tech and develop a love for it.
Also, genuine interest doesn’t pay the bills.
New week, new beginnings.
Stay positive, set clear intentions, and let go of last week’s negativity. Be kind to your mind and body—meditate, move, and make time for what brings you joy.
Stay productive while embracing peace.
Technology has the potential to make a real difference in sustainability. ♻️ From energy-saving systems to different AI tools, innovation is paving the way for a greener future.
What steps are you taking to be part of this change?
How's your tech journey going?
One of my motivation was the money I won’t lie. I was earning 40k, eating bread and indomie almost everyday. I had a friend who was earning 700k at the time in tech. He told me I could do it too, and I believed him. I hit that 700k just 10 months after I started my tech journey.
If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want will become the sacrifice. Put in that work now, it’s stressful but your future self would be grateful you did.
It definitely isn’t easy but it’s possible. Same way getting a law degree or med school isn’t easy. It doesn’t happen in a year. Maybe I’ll hold more spaces with people making bucks in the tech industry, to talk about their journey and how rough it was.

There is nothing of value without a cost. If you’re not willing to sacrifice a lot for it, then you don’t deserve it.
Pay the price today so you don’t regret tomorrow.
I’ve realized that human beings can achieve almost anything when sufficiently motivated, you can literally shock yourself. Find something that drives you, it’ll make the process easier
