Always a difficult morning on the 30th October. 48 years ago
Right now, my sister Sonia and I were sat at the local bus stop waiting for Mum to arrive. We never saw her again. It wasn’t light as dramatized on ITV recently. It was dark and cold. RIP Mam.

: Israel Pfizer Leak with Dr. Yaffa Shir Raz.
Israeli Health Ministry knows the pfizer jabs are 1) causing long-term adverse effects, 2) introducing "re-challenge": adverse effects repeat with each dose, 3) exposing them to liability

A heartfelt thank to everyone involved in creating the incredibly powerful
#thelongshadow
Every one of the women involved were worthy of respect right from the beginning and finally through this series they got it. My thoughts are with every family member effected by his actions.
Not sure why I feel so nervous about the airing of the ITV drama The Long Shadow starting in a few minutes. Thinking of you mum more than I ever have for years as people get to see you showing love for your children. Xxx
A remarkable man - Richard McCann
@ICanInspire
spoke to me about the news that his mother Wilma's killer

Peter Sutcliffe had died & called for an official apology from
@WestYorksPolice
for describing only some of the victims as innocent.
@BBCNews
45 years ago today my mother was buried. We never went to her funeral as children. It wasn’t until I left home at 16 that I discovered where her grave was and could finally say goodbye, 10 years later. I dedicate today to her. *image by poolgirlphotg Insta

West Yorkshire Police Chief Constable John Robins has issued an apology to the relatives of Peter Sutcliffe’s victims for “the language, tone and terminology used by senior officers at the time”
45 Yrs ago this evening mum (Wilma McCann) lost her life to Peter Sutcliffe. I'd like to set the record straight on this poignant day & invite West Yorkshire Police to do the same. Surely 45 years is too long to wait for an apology.
@WYPjohnRobins
Yesterday I discovered I have skin cancer. I only went to the Dr’s for a chest problem. He spotted something, sent me in for biopsy, results yesterday. 5 years of 3 monthly tests. Every cloud. Keep an eye on your bodies people & don’t put things off.
I often wondered how mum would have looked today on her 75th birthday had she been cruelly taken aged 28. Now I have some idea. Wilma McCann Always remembered.
24 years ago today I stepped out of prison. Weeks later I formed a suicide pact. But after my sister took her tablets I got her into hospital, saved her and began rebuilding my life: Never give up.
Finally: a media outlet has finally listened to our wishes. Many families asking that when reporting something about Sutcliffe that they use his name rather than the moniker beginning with ‘R’. great to see them use a Colour image of Mum.

45 years ago today was the last ever day I would spend with my mother Wilma McCann. If I had known that she would go out in the evening and never return I may have held her a little longer, spoken a little longer and told her how much I loved her. Cherish every moment.
Would anyone be able to make use of 4 tickets to Back to the future at the London Adelphi at 7.30 pm tonight. Maybe you know of a family who may not be able to afford such things. Please let me know
Many years ago I was told by a speaker that no one would want to hear my story. Today I will deliver my 3000th speech in 17 years. I’m visiting the primary school I went to 46 years ago. So excited. Don’t let others define what is possible for you.
24 years ago this morning I was sent to prison for dealing drugs. I thought my life was over.....but on reflection it was one of the best things which could have happened to me. Drugs may have ended up killing me if I continued down that path.
When will the media stop using the Ri**** word when creating headlines about Sutcliffe. It’s unnecessary and does nothing but remind families what and how he did those horrible things. His name will suffice. I’d like to see a Law against using terms like this. PLEASE !!
Can people of Twitter please show
@NetflixUK
how inappropriate it to call their new series about the crimes of Sutcliffe ‘The Ri**er’ 9 families affected by his crimes have asked for it to be changed out of respect for our mothers/sisters/daughters.
episode 3

tonight and after watching Marcella Claxton I was reminded that when I was 18 I enquired whether or not I was entitled to criminal compensation. Declined as they said we were no worse off financially after mum was murdered. Nothing about emotional trauma
@DanielMays9
@ITV
I’ve watched it
@DanielMays9
as a family member effected by this man’s actions I think your portrayal of Sydney Jackson was incredibly powerful.
Why on earth would anyone think it was appropriate to use images of Sutcliffe, Saville and West on a Father’s Day advert for his burger company is beyond me. When challenged said ‘they were all dads’. Otley Burger Company, shame on you.

Anyone in education connected to me here? If I were to deliver a Free session on Resilience Strategies for Covid and beyond for staff when would be a good time to do that? And do let me know if you’re interested?
#resilience
I always hated the language used around some of Peter Sutcliffe's victims in the 70s but the photos used of them didn't help...compare Wilma McCann's dehumanised mugshot with a family photo. The perception you get from each picture is entirely different
@MirrorTV
How dare you report on this and include elements of Jacqueline Hills mother. She asked over 40 years ago for the media to stop using the moniker and yet here you using it again. His name is Sutcliffe so use his name. That is what Doreen Hill asked for. Is it too much to ask?
I proved them wrong. Yesterday I delivered my 3000th presentation despite being told ‘no one would want to hear that’. Talk 3000 was delivered to the school I attended when mum was sadly murdered. I’ll never forget the staff there. It was dedicated to her:
#hernamewaswilmamccann
disgusted at what these panelist had to say about my request to call Peter Sutcliffe by name. It wouldn’t be fair to those called Peter. Is this woman for real? Who is she and why did she feel it appropriate to laugh when
@JeremyVineOn5
began speaking to her.
Yesterday I gave my final presentation of the year, this time to 600 learners. They need inspiring right now but its hard to know if you're engaging them when you you can't see or hear them. But I just spotted this on Linkedin from one of the parent...Job Done.
Amazing! Had to stop my tears as had an email minutes ago from my teacher from 1976. I met her the year after mum died in my new school and wrote about her in my book. She’s just read the book and saw mention of her. A beautiful moment:
My first presentation in 416 days. Here at

we're expecting again..and I'm 51! Yes, we can't keep it to ourselves any longer. Some people have begun speaking about it so we've decided to share with you. In 3 weeks time, we will be expecting.....a man with a beard to climb down our chimney and leave the odd present. Excited
I wish ever Editor in the UK would listen to this podcast because rarely, if at all, does anyone interview guests with the sensitivity that
@laurarichards99
does. She refuses to call him by the ‘R’ moniker. Is it too much to ask? No it’s not.
Please can the media stop using the term The Yorkshire RixxxR when reporting the crimes of Peter Sutcliffe. Call him by his name and stop Re-traumatising the families and inspiring the next Sutcliffe. Please share this with anyone you know in the media.
I'm giving away

in memory of mum who died week44, 44 years ago. 44 copies at 10 different locations. We've already had Manchester, Bradford, Coventry, Wakefield & yesterday it was Harrogate. As it was the weekend I took the kids. Always good to keep her memory alive.
The BBC documentary which inspired me to ask West Yorkshire Police for an apology for their language in the 70’s in relation to the woman killed by Sutcliffe is on BBC4 tonight. Shocking viewing.
Shout out to our most positive child. I just fed the gold fish and commented how much of a boring life they lead. Her reply ‘Are least they don’t have Covid in there’.
Seriously, me and my wife have Covid. It’s nothing like a cold. Head banging, body aching, no taste or smell. Little breathless. You can imagine the elderly getting this and it causing havoc with their bodies. I can’t show you a pic as you’ll never see me in the same light.

This was me in my school photograph aged 10. Later today I’ll be delivering a Webinar on Resilience to the teachers there. 40 years later. Full circle.
I’m staggered that just two days ago the queen was on her feet shaking hands with Liz Truss smiling. And just two days later she passes away. Just goes to show you how fragile life really is.
I was contacted today by a respectable tabloid to ask me to comment on the fact that Sutcliffe had had a birthday lunch. My reply ‘who cares. It’s a none story’ When will they drop these stories which are to sell more papers!
This week our daughter was able to help her friend in the playground who was choking. This card from her friend says it all. The chocolate bar did too. So proud.
4 years ago today my 8 year old son helped me close the conference for Outwood Academy Trust (south) 1100 teachers over 2 sites. He stole the show. 8 year old!!

44 years ago this month we lost our mother on the 44th week of the year. Her killer also lived at No44! This month, in her memory, I'm giving away 444 copies of my latest book.

latest giveaway in Edinburgh. My favourite so far.
I never ever watched Gavin & Stacy but It was pointed out to me recently that all the characters in it had surnames of serial killers including Sutcliffe. Why was this ever felt appropriate and funny?
On International Women's day I remember my mother even more than every other day.

2/2 I remember those times vividly. It was like a fog of evil hung over West Yorkshire.
Also big respect to him for calling out West Yorkshire Police who issued an apology for how they desicrbed some of the women back then.
Healing day all round.
