Funny how I wasn't overweight as a young child, when most of my diet came from a mix of animal fats (venison, partridge, fish, etc) and fresh vegetables ...

No, many veterans use it as medicine rather than relying on the VA's opiate treatments (which are far worse).
I only see it as a problem if someone causes an accident when they're driving while impaired.

I got dragged through the mud, had CPS sicced on me, and my children were targeted in their schools.

That explains why I was fairly healthy as a child and not so much as an adult. I ate lots of animal meat and butter in the early years. I eked through high school and college because I wasn't a fan of junk food.

Two days later I went to the Navy gas station across the street from the Pentagon.
I thought at the time that the whole area didn't look like what I'd expect a plane impact to look like.

I served in the military for about 5 years, met a lot of people during those days. Then I met many more through my membership in a large veterans' organization, guys and gals who served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, all the way up through present day.
