In continuation of the narrative on my Indonesia trip, on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th February, I started with perceptive meetings with Agung Laksono, former Minister, former Coordinating Minister of the Economy, and former Presidential Advisory Board member who served under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Joko Widodo. He provided me with valuable insights into the governance strategies of both administrations, detailing the planning, execution, and determination that drove Indonesia’s transformation, with a strong focus on measurable development in critical areas. My second session was a meeting with Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, former Vice President of Indonesia, who served under both Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Joko Widodo—making him the only Vice President in Indonesia’s history to serve under two different presidents. He emphasized that the achievements of both leaders were made possible through a focused commitment approach, and decisive leadership, ensuring simultaneous development across all sectors. My third session was with Yandri Susanto, the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, who detailed how, under President Joko Widodo, the ministry has made remarkable strides in advancing rural development by focusing on education, healthcare, and support for micro and small businesses within the villages. With a structured approach—ranging from extremely underdeveloped to self-sufficient villages—the ministry ensures targeted progress. Its leadership framework, involving municipal and traditional heads, plays a crucial role in effective governance. By adopting structured, data-driven policies focused on rural development, industrialization, and diversification, Nigeria can achieve inclusive and sustainable growth. PRESS RELEASE EFFECTIVE POLICING: POLICE ARRESTS MURDER SUSPECT, RECOVER EXHIBITS, MAKES OTHER PREVENTIVE ARRESTS Urges Nigerians to be wary of criminals' Dynamic Antics, Cautions against Violent Confrontation As part of its commitment to strengthening national security and curbing crime across the nation, the Nigeria Police Force continues to implement proactive strategies to address criminal activities effectively. These efforts reflect the determination to create a safer environment for all citizens while reinforcing public trust in the security apparatus. The recent successful operations carried out by Police operatives across the nation serve as a testament to this ongoing dedication to protect the lives and property of all residents in the country. In one of such cases at the Lagos State Police Command, a team of policemen from the Satellite Division during routine patrols on February 7th, 2025, intercepted a suspected hoodlum identified as Wisdom Obi ‘m’, 24 years. The suspect was riding an unregistered motorcycle at the Abule Ado bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Amuwo Odofin. Upon searching the suspect, a brownie pistol along with 13 rounds of live ammunition was discovered concealed within an MP3 radio. The suspect was taken into custody, with the motorcycle and recovered items documented as exhibits, while investigation continues. Similarly, on February 7, 2025, another team of officers from the Orile Iganmu Division apprehended four suspected traffic robbers: Kadir Ibrahim ‘m’, Ifeanyin John ‘m’, Oduwole Shola ‘m’, and Rilwan Olajuwon ‘m’, while they were attempting to rob passengers of a broken-down vehicle at the Ascon White Sand area of Orile Iganmu. The suspects are currently in custody as investigations proceed. The police strongly advises citizens to exercise vigilance and be wary of the cunning schemes of traffic robbers who blend in as innocent traffic traders, preying on unsuspecting individuals who find themselves entrapped in congested routes. Earlier, on February 5, 2025, the Ikoyi Division in Lagos State received reports regarding a violent confrontation between two individuals, Okeke Johnchris ‘m’, and William Wisdom ‘m’, aged 33, at Falomo Square, Ikoyi. Following a heated argument, Okeke allegedly rammed his Lexus saloon car into William, inflicting severe injuries. William was rushed to Gbagada General Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. A team of detectives visited the scene, and the deceased was taken to IDH Morgue in Yaba for an autopsy. The suspect has been apprehended and is currently in police custody pending conclusion of investigations and arraignment. The Nigeria Police Force uses this medium to caution citizens against violent confrontations and encourage those offended to seek proper redress through stipulated legal procedures. Citizens must avoid taking the law into their hands. The Force remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents, working diligently to combat crime while upholding the fundamental principles of justice. We just departed the DIG Dasuki Galandanchi led Federal Investigation Department (FID) of the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG , where we met Olumide Ogunsanwo aka @seaking303 , he was in the company of police officers who had traveled to Lagos to kidnap him. @adeyanjudeji Deji and Marshal D F Abubakar we present as lawyers representing @seaking303 and standing in for @InibeheEffiong ! To our surprise, they disclosed that Olumide’s recent ordeal resulted from alleged cyberbullying against Pastor E.A. Adeboye, @PastorEAAdeboye the General Overseer of the @rccghq Redeemed Christian Church of God, in a TikTok session @seaking303 did in December of 2024 According to them, one Paul James Adama, using the name of one “Christian association or group” affiliated with Police PPRO Adejobi Olumuyiwa @Princemoye1 submitted a “petition” to their office on behalf of the @RccQ General Overseer. We asked how a TikTok video by @seaking303 could bully or frighten a whole General Overseer protected by heavenly angels and worldly security agencies , they quickly ask that “we go and come back” after Jumat prayers but apparently they have no plan to free him from their unjust custody Nigerians, I must state that the decline of the Nigerian police force is indeed disheartening, disgusting and frightening. #freeseakingnow #EgbetokunMustGoNOW
