I confirmed through my own sources today that this photo is indeed HK’s current state. In the past two years, they stayed in their own homes freely and didn’t want to be disturbed. They will show up in public and participate in activities soon.

Walked into a florist in Sheung Wan this morning. She looked me up and down and said, “you know, our flowers are very expensive”. HK, customer service still undefeated
10 years ago there were still around 150,000 “traditional” signboards and neon signs in HK. Today the number according to official figures is less than 500.

Dignity Kitchen is a Singaporean Social Enterprise that has opened a branch in HK. They only employ and train staff with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. My companion says she has never met such polite service staff in HK. Nice taste of home today

The goverment’s u-turn isn’t because they care about the welfare of the people on the streets or even that they want to contain the virus. It’s because they lost face when people shared all these images of “commoners” lying on the ground and this is inconvenient for “Brand HK”
