My dad always used to hand paint his Christmas cards, until in his 80s he started just doing one to print.
Most were of the Lakes as he lived in Kendal, but this was a Cotswold one.

When my dad died he'd climbed 192 of the 214 Wainwrights (fells in the Lake District). I'd told him that my son & I would do the missing 22. He liked the idea.
This was the family on the final one, number 214 - Little Mell Fell
Was a bit gobsmacked that last week my dad's small (most 5" x 3") card painting got 500+ likes.
So for anyone who missed them here is...

I really liked the way that these rocks, on the summit of Hart Crag, seemed to be trying to march east down to Hartsop above How & then on to the High Street range beyond (where of course the Romans did have a road😀)

Not personally that bothered about patties (battered deep fried mash potato) but pattie & chips is popular here.
I thought it was a dead tree as I walked towards it, but then was really surprised to see all the new growth just waiting to burst out on it.
Just goes to show that appearances can be deceptive.
