Vice President Moomina Waheed participated in the Second Asia-Pacific Regional Review of the Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration, held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok from 4 to 6 February 2025. The forum served as a platform to assess regional progress in the comprehensive implementation of the 23 objectives of the GCM, identify challenges and opportunities, and enhance regional cooperation. Deliberations focused on strengthening policy frameworks, capacity-building, data collection, and partnerships to facilitate the full implementation of the GCM at national and regional levels. The outcomes of the discussions will contribute to the 2026 International Migration Review Forum.
