i am already feeling a lot of things about this season ending.
finding this community has seen me through two very difficult years. it delivered me into the arms of the most profound love i've ever known. it saved me.
may we all endure another two years. the sun yet shines.

that fade to black when the sauron goo first hits the puddle, and then showing the growth of the stalactites in the next shot, is such a great way to hint at the many thousands of years that pass before he can even become a carnivorous tangle of water plants.
it's funny to see TROP in the awkward middle period of "audience reassessment". more people are giving it a chance but still feel obligated to hedge their enthusiasm a little. just embrace it darlings. by this time 2026, it'll be in "why did anyone ever dislike this?" territory.
i think i've mentioned that i'm a composer before. i am a bit shy about it, but one of our lovely community members here asked me to write something exploring the connections between galadriel's and halbrand's themes. so... here is a bit of that as a finale weekend treat.🤷🏻♀️
apropos of nothing, tolkien clearly described the process of elvish aging, and it is not hard at all to imagine that one individual's hröa may appear more advanced in age than that of someone actually older than them... you know, a thing which happens all the time in reality.
"im a top" "im a bottom" okay???? i would have placed a crown upon your head??? i would have never rested until all middle-earth had been brought to its knees, to worship the light of its queen????
i can think of no more moving tribute to the work of j.r.r. tolkien than the light that the soul of this episode shines against the collective darknesses of our moment in time. this is why we do art. i am grateful for it.

sauron getting spurned by the dwarves and IMMEDIATELY going "hah okay have a balrog" is killing me. humorously petty sauron is a masterstroke.
(suddenly getting serious voice) i am so emotional over this return of troptwt. so many friendships have been born out of shared love for tolkien and this incarnation of his world. i have outright *fallen in love* with someone because of it. what a testament to the power of art!

hello sir, i see you're ready to check in for your stay at the cope-a-cabana! check out time is whenever you grow a functioning brain. please enjoy your time!
if i ever found out a mouse lived in my home, and he had a small archway in the wall, and he lived in there with small, real furniture, and he ventured out nightly to get one olive or a small wedge of cheese. i would stop at nothing to end his life. i would spare no expense
remember how howard shore's little gesture introducing the argonath has the same exact intervallic contour as the first phrase of bear mccreary's númenor theme⁉️😌
hrt should completely liquify your whole body and you get to be soup for a few days and then over the course of a week or so it reconstitutes you in whatever new form you desire. is anyone working on this
@ghostscappp
How did orcs destroy a mountain with rocks but they could not bring down city walls with the same weapons??? Forget the lore explain me this pls

🎵 the sun yet shines
i didn’t know what to expect from the final track, but i will accept this as penance for galadriel’s theme not appearing until well into the album. this may be my favorite music from “the rings of power” so far. i will listen to it relentlessly.
it sucks to get bullied. it also sucks to respond to that bullying by blindly torching everyone around you. fuck that.
this is a good fandom, but there is some major growth needed. i'm not sure that'll happen before twitter dies its final death.
by far the funniest thing about this tolkien "quote" is how those who use it are doing exactly what it describes... because it's not a tolkien quote. the second funniest thing is how it's a little different every time i see it. endless distortion.
only time i'll mention this shit:
moron grifters are morons but they're primarily grifters. they know they're wrong about "the lore." it doesn't matter. they thrive on the collective outrage of their followers who *are* primarily morons.
just block. let them suffocate.

Definitely a bot.

-ONLY fawns over RoP, does nothing else.
Bot. Or some sad case using Chat GPT to help string a coherent sentence together.
🎵 the river daughter
goldberry! a beautiful little interlude echoing tom’s song. “we’ll be waiting for you.” i love them already! they are my kindly aunt and uncle.
1 billion minutes watched in the first week in the US, according to Nielsen. Our international viewer number is about three times the US audience so thank you to the global fans for continuing to make The Rings of Power
#1
worldwide on Prime Video!
🎵 concerning stoors
something which *is* pretty familiar in its color and uneven meter, but with a new accent. a lovely expansion of the growing body of halfling-related music. also this can apply to a number of tracks, but bear, thank you for writing so much for muted strings.
#TROPspoilers
this is suddenly moving so fast and that isn't like the *worst* thing but gosh couldn't we have ONE more episode to savor some of this a little more?!
last year i used a silly little musical trick to write my girlfriend's name into something that was heard on tv by millions of people
i will not stop until i manage to do this with TROP as well. i guess i have about six years to infiltrate the production.
NOW until the end of the season: the ithilien yule festival is open to all!
end the year with a little serenity in our beautiful land. enjoy live yuletide music (the good kind). or, take a special someone to the intimate rooftop bar (boasting STUNNING views).

🎵 forgiveness takes an age
this is such a whimsical and touching way to musically paint the ents and entwives. at least i assume that’s what’s going on here. and then, arondir… looking for forgiveness?
🎵 the pyre
ah, well… we knew this was coming i guess. this was my first or second favorite theme from season one, and then it became associated with someone i care about immensely, so this makes me feel many things. damn.
i am feeling very content about my relocation to ithilien. it is much more my style, and i can still easily visit my friends in mordor whenever i want.
i'll be taking it easy here for a while. all holiday visitors are welcome. just look for the giant statue of me. 💖
