Yesterday, the HOA Board sent this letter in support of our union siblings in @UMMAP6739 . Michigan Medicine needs to make serious proposals. We asked hospital management to reduce operations during a strike and are instructing our members not to volunteer for struck work.

UMMAP STRIKE STARTS NOVEMBER 12 7AM Management asked for a week of bargaining. We gave it to them. They asked for extended bargaining this afternoon. We gave it to them. At 9PM they came to the bargaining table and proposed a pittance. We say NO MORE. STRIKE FOR A FAIR CONTRACT!

BREAKING BARGAINING UPDATE: Today, nearly at the end of the week of disrespect, leaving at 9pm instead of 5, waiting hours for HR to come "in an hour," and reading through proposals with previously agreed-upon language crossed out, the bargaining team voted to leave early (1/2)
