This is a common but false belief. When Elon Musk joined Tesla in January 2004, the company only existed on paper. Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning had registered the company 6 months earlier, but they had no prototype, no design, no offices, no funding and no real plan. Also, it was Elon who suggested the name “Tesla Motors” to them, while they were all mildly involved in a project called T-Zero. Eberhard sued Tesla several years later claiming that he and Tarpenning were the only founders of the company… the judge dismissed his claim, saying that Elon Musk contributed so much to the beginning of the company that he should be considered one of the founders. In the end the case was settled with Eberhard recognizing 5 founders of the company including Elon Musk. Both Eberhard and Tarpenning had LEFT the company before even the first Tesla car, the 2008 Roadster was on the market. Elon Musk was involved in the design and engineering of the car, and it was in fact delayed because of design and engineering changes that Elon insisted on. It was Elon Musk that led the company to it’s success with the Tesla Model S, Model X, Model 3 and Model Y.

Exactly what is your problem with this? I was posting about these REVOLUTIONARY technological achievements of Elon Musk's companies. He is SAVING the U.S. billions of dollars, but I guess you would prefer to have the RUSSIANS sending U.S. astronauts to the ISS, than SpaceX(at a much lower cost).

Like I said he INITIALLY paid over 100 million dollars of his own money. Then later the government took over the responsibility of funding it, because they recognized the value of Starlink for the defense of Ukraine. They did NOT pay him back for those 100 million dollars he initially spent. You are spreading disinformation and hate, based on Democrat propaganda.

That was completely false. First of all, Elon initially financed the use of the Starlink in Ukraine by himself, using over 100 million dollars of his own money. And secondly, when the Ukrainians contacted him in the middle of the night and asked him to activate the Starlink system in the ocean outside of Crimea because they wanted to attack Russian ships, he technically could not do that, and he did not have the authorization of the U.S. government to do that. It would have been ILLEGAL for him to get involved in that Ukrainian military action without an approval or request from the U.S. government, and he did not receive any such approval or request.
