Busy weekend all round for Hillside! Maths Saturday school and Mrs Ryan and our governors at Governor training. Thank you to all staff for giving up your time to help our school grow and continue to strive forward. Excellence in the Heart of the Community.

Hands on applications of numeracy through science experiments. Applying units, making accurate measurements, collecting primary data was all happening! Engaging families with maths is crucial in building confidence for our young people in Bootle. @liamstarkey84 @Bootle_Together

A lovely visit today to Year 8 Register & Read. Our Year 8 begun the incredible @JamiesonV & Omar Mohamed story When Stars are Scattered. This is our 2nd year of this book on our reading curriculum and our pupils are already immersed in the story.

Following on from our welcome back learning assembly, our Year 7 and 8 received their Knowledge Organisers today! Form tutors talked pupils through their new resource and helped pupils start to navigate the subject content.

Year 7 and 8 Knowledge Organisers are ready and waiting on their desks tomorrow morning! We can’t wait to teach our pupils and parents/carers more about them, how to use them and hope they find them useful in their learning.

We had such a reflective & productive LT conference yesterday at The Lake House. Lots of dialogue & discussion about school improvement actions and time to digest the changes to the @EducEndowFoundn Implementation Planning guidance. Now we need to write our plans & have a break!
