We were delighted to welcome Minister for Education Norma Foley, and local election candidate Ciarán Power, to HFCS yesterday, Wednesday 29th May🤩 Minister Foley confirmed that the building works for our new school building are expected to commence this summer.

🧜‍♀️Their SDG was number 14- Life Below Sea 🧜. This group wanted to highlight the impact that sea pollution has the species of the sea, focusing on birds and fish. Students use materials commonly found to be polluting our seas, soft drink cans and plastic bags.

👏📰This group wanted to highlight the impact the media has on young people and how staying informed on current affairs is key to understanding society. As a result of this impact, young people should be educated on how to source news from the media and the dangers of fake news.
