I minted ETH at ICO in college. I was all in on @ethereum’s cyberpunkness. I loved the idealism, the middle finger to corporate structures, and the bold choice to "walk the walk" in terms of decentralization. 10 years later, I just want the EF to be efficient and drive real-world change. This doesn’t mean abandoning first principles of decentralization. It doesn’t mean sacrificing building nation-state resilience. What it does mean is no longer burying our head in the sand. The Ethereum Foundation has problems and they are very fixable. The first is adopting a product mindset and shipping with urgency. Americans are asking Trump to run the country like a business. Ethereans should ask the EF to do the same. ✅ Scale the L1 ✅ Accelerate composability between L2s ✅ Create a culture of accountability: "what have you done this week?" ✅ Hire proven Big Tech winners in product and brand ✅ Double down on enterprise and institutional adoption For the EF specifically, we should call for: ✅ Transparent metrics and progress reviews ✅ Clearer brand and product positioning ✅ Obsessive focus on real world usage ✅ A board of directors voted on by ETH token holders pledged to keep the foundation accountable and efficient Ethereum’s path has always been about playing the long game. We’ve focused on principles, resilience, and laying the foundation for a decentralized digital nation. But in that pursuit, we’ve sometimes lost sight of the short-term battles that drive real-world change. To win the war for global adoption, we need to balance resilience with agility. We can outlast, but we also need to out-innovate. "In war, then, let your great object be victory, not lengthy campaigns." - Sun Tzu
The problem the EF has is very simple: most of the people involved never created a company, they don’t know how to prioritize or how to communicate. Most are researchers. They never had a tight feedback loop between what gets decided and their output. The problem it has is not due to the fact that it’s a foundation or that Ethereum is a protocol and not a company. It’s related to how prioritization is done. I love Ethereum focus on decentralization and ZK. However it’s clear to me that even if the people involved are smart, it doesn’t have the incentives to improve in core critical areas like marketing or to solve product related problems. This doesn’t mean I don’t like the EF or many of the people in charge. Many do great work but it’s becoming obvious there is a problem. Long term this will become a clearer problem that if it doesn’t get address it will limit the speed at which Ethereum grows.

@cryptobuilder_ Rollups don't want to give up sovereignty or even the illusion of sovereignty. This will likely change over time. In the short term I expect to see less invasive solutions like Superbuilders and ASS find PMF first.
