50hrly done today with help from our trusty engineer who flew in from the UK.
Machine good for another 50hrs, no issues.
Engineer was here 20years ago on a backpacking trip 😅 he loves the place.

Ok we can finally share what happened in Myanmar. 24hr airport detention 🔒
Didn't have a permit to enter the next country and Myanmar wouldn't give us a crew visa. Had to stay airside for 24hrs whilst we scrammed for options with

Pulling into Riyadh Airport with 5 airliners on hold for us to land 🤣
Hooked it over the threshold at 120kias and hauled up the runway for the high speed exit.
Major international airport and we're the only chopper alongside a MedAir 109 😅

Into Pontianak (Indonesia), there was a layer of river water flowing out and a distinct line where it met the ocean.

Currently flying over the jungles of a Borneo. This is proper tiger country. Huge trees, thick vegetation. Hours of it, and we’re only cutting one corner. Large hills and low cloud and rain made for a challenging sector but making it to destination with 30mins fuel.

dropped out for VH-BTC over 9000' mountains on entry in Myanmar.
Family following the trip were genuinely worried. Still have no GPS on the ground.
Will stick to Day VFR flying off iPad + ATC vectors.

Long over-water leg today over the Arabian Gulf. Had 15knt tail winds so it went well. Had to vector around Qatar airspace because they wouldn't give us clearance.
Now we're here in Al Ain for a few days waiting for Pakistan and India to come thru with the goods!

Today this leg was planned 350NM. Our nil wind range, everything working perfectly, is 360NM (with 30min reserves landing). Today we organised for immediate departure and was airborne within 1min. We received some track shortening, and had a tail wind. Landed with 1.3hrs fuel.

Had a planned day off today, wanted to do a local scenic for lunch, but there's no "general aviation" permitted in Egypt 😬
But our awesome handler made it happen by filing two transit plans (there and back). Legend.
We got aviation good back home in Aus 🇦🇺
