In 2015, Steve Sarkisian hit rock bottom: Lost his family, his dream job, and it looked like he might not coach again.
In 2023 he is now a conference champion and has led Texas to its first CFP berth.
Get your horns up for Sark. Not just as a coach, but as a human being.
🤘
Arch Manning is an elite talent. Throws a gorgeous deep ball, heck of an athlete, and has a very good arm.
But his decision making and pocket presence are no where near where Quinn Ewers is.
Arch will be elite one day. But if Texas wants to win the national title, we need Ewers
Sark was hired 3 years ago today. If I told you then that in 3 years he would win a Big 12 title and make the CFP, you’d do a backflip.
Texas is headed in the right direction. One game doesn’t change that.
🤘
Go ahead and trash Texas if you want.
I didn’t go anywhere after multiple 5-7 seasons and I’m not now.
Have full confidence in Sark and the staff.
🤘 up.
Longhorn Nation:
You’re 11-1
You are undefeated at home
You are in the Big 12 championship game
Playoffs are still a live option
The team has issues, but for fracks sake be happy tonight.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Charlie Strong after year 3- Fired a year late
Tom Herman after year 3- Hottest seat in America
Sark after year 3- 15 seconds away from the National Championship game.
We have our guy.
🤘
Aggy hired Jimbo Fisher for 75 million dollars guaranteed.
They fired him for 76.8 million.
Thats right, it cost them more to fire Fisher than it did to hire him from Florida St.
Only an Aggy can do that. Well done.
Any Texas fan who disrespects Quinn Ewers will have me to answer to. I didn’t pray that boy here for your nonsense takes after all he has done to get this program to where it is now.
You have been warned.
Sincerely,
President of the Quinn Ewers fan club
Anyone who is angry at the prospect of Quinn Ewers potentially returning next year deserves to have a losing season. You should be giddy about this. You’ll be going into the SEC with a proven commodity and a veteran offensive line.
That’s what you want.
🤘
Texas A&M, just admit you got it wrong with Jimbo Fisher. You’re in year 6 and you still won’t have a 10 win regular season with him.
Even after you got the best recruiting class of all-time.
Sonny Dykes and Steve Sarkisian are perfect examples of why you start judging a coach in year three and not year one. Dykes won with Gary Patterson’s team and hasn’t made a bowl since. Sark’s Texas teams have improved every year and are verging on being elite.
Suck it
@kbohls
Last year, Sark walked into Kelvin Banks's house and walked out with his commitment.
This year he walked into Anthony Hill's house and left with his commitment.
Moral: Sark doesn't take no for an answer. Once he steps into that living room, it's over.
🤘🏻
Return almost all of the offensive line. Quinn Ewers returns. Baxter and Blue back.
Some very talented young guys on defense coming back.
We will be fine.
🤘
I am pleased to announce that I will finish my graduate studies (Ph.D. in philosophy, Master's in molecular biology) at the University of Texas at Austin.
I'm a Longhorn. Hook Em. 🤘🏿
6 years ago Texas A&M thought they had pulled the heist of the century by taking Jimbo Fisher from Florida St.
Six years later Florida St will likely make the CFP and the Aggys aren’t even bowl eligible and want Jimbo gone…but have to fend off his heist of them for 100m.
🤭🤭
Sources: Former Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy has verbally committed to Duke. A formal announcement is expected soon. He’ll be immediately eligible with three years remaining, giving first-year coach Manny Diaz a key building block to start his tenure.
Hats off to Maalik Murphy. He had some great moments, he had some bad ones. Such is the nature of playing the QB position. But he never folded and has a bright future.
Thanks Maalik.
🤘🤘🤘
Perhaps Sarks biggest recruiting win in the past 3 years was getting Jordan Whittington to not retire from football and develop into an NFL draft pick.
His importance to this team is far beyond the stats.
🤘
Texas moves to 8-1 and controls their path to the Big 12 title and the CFP.
And, if we beat Tech, we will have lost no games at home this year.
Get your damn horns up.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
If one of Adonai Mitchell or Jatavion Sanders would stay one more year, that would be great.
However, whatever they decide, they must do what is best for them.
🤘
Steve Sarkisian, I am proud of you for getting to ten wins for the first time. Overcoming what you have to get here is a testament to the power of the human spirit. Well done, Sark. Longhorn Nation salutes you tonight.
Jordan Whittington is not only the perfect embodiment of what it means to be a Texas Longhorn, but is also the perfect embodiment of the saying “We not me.” The perfect teammate.
🤘
Per Liucci, interest in the A&M job at the national level wasn’t very good.
Yeah, these are the things you check out before you fire a coach for 76 million dollars.
That was not on Quinn Ewers. Sorry it simply wasn’t. He played well enough in the 4th quarter to have us on the verge of a title game berth, and if you fumble multiple times you’re lucky to be in that position.
Texas now has the number 3 class according to 247. If this holds, Sark will have the signed the number 5 and consecutive top 3 classes in his first three years on the 40 Acres.
This man is on 🔥.
🤘🤘
When Texas fired Herman, they made sure they had their guy before they pulled the trigger.
A&M clearly just wanted Fisher gone and figured they could just money whip another guy.
All they did was get a bunch of coaches raises.
It took Mack Brown 4 years to get his first ten-win season at Texas. And he had a Heisman Trophy winner in his first-year, mind you.
I'm willing to give Sark 4 years to get there. And I think he will.
🤘🏿
7-1 going into November.
You would have taken that in the offseason, take it now.
A chance at the Big 12 title and the CFP is there for the taking.
Get your horns up.

If you want to sing The Eyes (as I do), fine.
If you're uncomfortable singing it, that's fine too.
But let's stop fighting about it; we have bigger fish to fry.

People who are getting off the Quinn Ewers bandwagon: Don’t forget that’s the guy who just won you your first Big 12 title in over a decade, beat Bama convincingly, and was 15 yards away from being in the title game.
Arch is the shiny new toy, Quinn is the proven commodity. 🤘
My favorite play of last night was not any of Quinn’s breathtaking throws.
My favorite play was Ethan Burke being held beyond belief and still making a sack.
That boy is different.
