2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the Only in Amerika album. Thinking we should do something crazy to help celebrate this milestone. The album was definitely a reaction to the corporate suit and ties at my former label that were telling me what to say and how to sing my songs.

Tonight at midnight we drop arguably one of the most important records of our career in "DETOX". I felt like people counted (HED) P.E out after the pandemic and I embraced being an underdog. I was able to say whatever the f#*k I want, but it sounds stripped down and raw.

Yesterday was an overwhelming celebration of love from my (Hed) P.E family when we announced the new album Sandmine and the tour. i cannot tell you how badly i needed that. The fire has been reignited. A new hunger, energy and determination is born. We are ready for whatever.

When the pandemic hit it threw me into a dark abyss. Part of me wondered if this was the end of (Hed) P.E at one point; when we came back would anyone care? The Class of 2020 tour was cancelled and we couldn't celebrate the 20th anniversary of Broke the way that record deserved.

You never know how the music you create is gonna touch someone and today I was reminded of that when a reporter from FOX NEWS told me he loved (Hed) P.E and that "Raise Hell" was his anthem 🤣 I don't care what side of the political spectrum you fall on... How could it not be?
