Every year I create a reading goal. Reading is a core part of my life and how I process and learn about the world around me. I'm on a decade-long quest to read every Novel, Pulitzer, National Book Award, Booker, Baillie, Hugo, and Nebula winner. I'll continue that quest in 2025 and track progress here:

You’re clearly for DOGE. I’m all for cutting fraud and waste and philosophically think DOGE is a great idea, but two questions I’ve had: 1. Why initially focus on things that make up fractions of a penny in the budget 2. Especially when almost all of those things are simply political disagreements? Comes across incredibly disingenuous. Will they tackle things that GOP Defends vociferously? Defense budget. Corporate tax loopholes. Things of the like?

Book 8.2025 📚 “The Demolished Man” by Alfred Bester ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Award won: Hugo Early sci-fi all reads kind of the same to me. Not great writing but some inventive concepts no less. Can see how it was instrumental in the genre’s development.

@AdamSinger @tlbtlbtlb @paulg I agree they won’t be left in the dust but >50% of homes didn’t have a computer until 2000. 40 year olds at that point were 17-20, respectively. So they weren’t as engrained in tech as the next generation in which PCs at home exceeded 60%.
