both have a lot of bleeding and it doesn't matter if you hit either since you have to do the same, but heres how to recognize:
vein: a lot of blood, flow like your pulse, if you hit a big one it can squirt
arterty: a lot of blood, slower flow

☆ prepare everything before cutting + incease smth goes wrong and u need medical help asap

☆ make sure your wound is dry, then depending on the deepnes use steri stripes to close the wound
☆ if it isn't too deep, you can just use a jello net or bepanthen but I would reccomed using steri stripes espicially if they're deep

☆ if you can't use steri stripes you have to use jello net, bepathen or something similiar!
☆ make sure the area around the wound is dry, so the bandaids / bandages stays on

☆ the bepanthen/jellow gaze (net) is that the moist from the wound doesn't stick to the bandages, or else if you're changing it, it'll rip open the parts on the wound that touched the cotton (blood,moisture from wound) and it'll bleed again which slows down the healing progress

☆ the steri-stripes are a replacement for stitches, if you're unsure or it's deeper than beans also depending where you cut you I reccomend getting stitches
☆ I did cut to fascia/tendons and it worked for me, but it could be different for you!
